Everything i read here made a perfect sense. And they said "MAY" which means every thing is just a theory not founded evidence. The entire universe just need as much information on this ebola virus as possible so that people don't panic unnecessarily.

When i hear of this ZMapp drug for Ebola, for some reason it reminds of the Will Smith movie 'I am Legend' or the 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'.

It's practically impossible to organize standard clinical trials with Ebola because it's a virus (as opposed to bacteria) and it kills so fast that you don't have time to recruit patients. Also, there are ethical considerations - you cannot administer placebo to some while giving potential life saver to others. Logically, antibodies are helping against viruses that are not integrate into DNA. Enough statistics can be gathered to assess effectiveness of 2 mentioned treatments, ZMapp and a a blood transfusion from survivors, if only these treatments could've been available in abundance. I would bet on the latter to be more accessible.
