The absolute truth is, but for the Ibos GEJ would've been long gone. This is not to say there aren't certain Northern elements (plus their Western and South Eastern collaborators) that are bent on retaining power and keeping the status quo, but it's to say the Ibos are just as (if not more) religiously and culturally intolerant as their up north Neighbors.
