Missed Chance Or Blessing In Disguise? by bennynaza(m): 8:37pm On Aug 27, 2014
I applied for a high stakes federal job ( SSC Nig. Army) last year, worked hard and spent a lot to make it, but I was not shortlisted. I was very upset and devastated, and decided not to apply again.
However, I reluctantly applied again this year. I couldn't care less about making it. I did not fill the forms completely or even correctly and make no preparations for a possible call up whatsoever. In fact I only checked their website once in a while. Today, I casually decided to check and saw my name on the list. Funny thing is that I should have checked a week ago cos we are supposed to report on the 23rd of August. Now I don't know if this is a missed opportunity or a blessing in disguise?

Hmmm, this one hard oo...have you made any enquiry as to whether you can still resume? If you can't, then I will say it's a blessing because if you were meant to be there, you would have seen your name earlier....

Btw, why is that most times things we spend time preparing for don't work out or wouldn't really work out the way we want but things we take for granted and don't really put in much effort work out? undecided undecided
