Happy sunday fellas. Hope u went to church o,as we round up d month of october.
For ankara wrapped notebooks, we'll need :
1. Ankara or any fabric of ur choice
2. Gum
3. Exercise book/hard cover note
4. Tape measure/ruler, chalk/biro, brush
Get ur materials ready, class starts on monday.

Dis is intrestin

1. Open d exercise book on ankara, leaving 1.5inches round, cut out

2. Apply gum on d front cover. Make sure d gum dries totally, place on the ankara (wrong side) n make sure u smothen out . Do same for the back cover too

3. Lift d sheets up n apply gum on d book (edge only). Do for both side, one @ a time.
Glue d fabric (xtra 1.5 inches on the book

4. U've covered 2sides, now u'll do d 2left. Appl gum,fold d xtra 1.5inches n make sude d 4edges are pointed as show in the 4th pic

Thumbs up Op! Let me have d second row sit since d first is occupied

5. Apply gum to d inside of the front cover, use d first sheet to cover all folds for neat finishing. Do same for the back.
Done.
***u can use stones or bottons or flowers to design the front, mainly to differentiate d front from d back.

We'll be making flowers next (rose n petal)
Next month, we'll be making clutch purse.
***note: atleast, 5people have to make some of the things taught above before we can move to clutch purse

I will be showing u how to make ankara clutch purse.
Materials needed:
1. Board.
2. Marco.
3. Top bond gum.
4. Brush.
5. Brown paper
6. Magnet botton
7. Fabric
Note: we'll be making the purse from scratch o.

Brush and magnet botton

All clutch purses have 3layers namely:
1. Front
2. Back
3. Flap
The measurement of the back is always 1inch more than d front. i.e if the front is 6inches, the back will be 7inches.
For this practical, we'll use the following measurements
Front: 6inches
Back: 7inches
Flap: 5inches
Wideness of purse: 11 inches.

STEP1: transfer the measurements on the board

STEP2:cut the outer lines out, u'll have the purse in one piece. (Front,back n flap), use a ruler to bend the board by placing the ruler on the 2lines on the board.

STEP3: place the board on d marco, leaving half inch by one side and 1inch by d top. Cut marco out. This simply means : (wideness of d board is 11inches, marco will be 11 n half inches) by (front+back+flap is 6+7+5 equals 18inches in length, board will be 18inches while marco will be 19inches).
Maths: board is 18inches by 11inches
Marco is 19inches by 11.5inches.

STEP4:place the board on your fabric (ankara,velvet,gele,lace...), leave 2inches allowance round and cut the fabric out. Apply gum on the board (with d help of a brush), wait for the gum to dry, place the board on d wrong side of d fabric n glue 2geda. Make sure u smoothen out rough areas.
Do same for the marco
