When the fixture list was released in June, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is unlikely to have foreseen this game being a top of the table clash. Granted the season is only three games old, but Swansea travel to Stamford Bridge in second place and with a perfect record so far. Among their scalps are Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United, and a task of similar difficulty will await them at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea’s recent Spanish recruits are on fire, with Diego Costa leading the Premier League’s scoring charts and Cecs Fabregas joint top assister. Following their impressive six goal haul at Everton last time out, the London side will be looking to add to the eleven goal they have scored already this season. Swansea have not been goal shy either, and Chelsea will have to keep midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson quiet if they want to increase their chances of a clean sheet. The Icelandic international is level with Fabregas on four assists, creating two thirds of Swansea’s goals so far. A win for either team will see them at the summit of the Premier League come the end of the weekend. STATS… Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in each of their last four games against Swansea.
