I expect the gaffer to set up the team to be more compact, defend first and then look to counter. We tried going on the offensive against Congo at the detriment of our defence. South africa would have watched that tape many times over and would be looking to attack our weaknesses especially our lack of team work at the back.

`8-2 in favour of Nigeria? This is what I don't like.
why would someone say Nigeria will score 8 goals in a match? Does that look realistic?
Y NOT SPAIN RECIEVED 5 GOALS,BRAZIL 7 GOALS SO WHO IS SOUTH AFRICA AND LASTLY http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2360594/Football-clubs-suspended-Nigerian-football-league-teams-promotion-depended-goal-difference-won-games-79-0-67-0.html but that was match fixing though.

`Yeah, teams score 10 goals and all that, not new... Infact, I'm a Barcelona fan and I've watched matches that we scored 8, 11 goals. But, saying this Nigerian team will score 8 goals is downright funny and it's like saying Patience Jonathan is an English professor.

Oboabona or Omeruo?

Yes Oboabona. Omeruo was the one who headed the ball down towards Oboabona on the touch line. Oboabona chased the Congolose player who lost him. Omeruo then moved in to close the player down, but the Congolese cut in leaving Omeruo sprawling on the turf. The Congolese player then cut the ball back for his team mate. Boom! Goal!

And on the second goal, Ambrose was simply ball wwatching while Bifouma strolled past him.

Ambrose is becoming a problem to the team.

He is an excellent ball-player and an offensive threat but defensively he is just average at best. I can't believe he is a first choice centre-back for a UEFA champions league club.

Someone needs to work on his positioning skills. They're costing us.

Omeruo caused the goal with his weak head pass from the start.

LIVE UPDATE from Cape Town

Its MESHEBA VS KESHI

- Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba says his Nigerian counterpart Stephen Keshi will be desperate to get one over his team after being snubbed for the Bafana job, and that his players must be ready for a fight at Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday night.
Keshi was one of the favourites for the South African coaching job along with Mashaba and former Portugal and Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz. But on Wednesday night he will be in the Super Eagles’ dugout when the teams clash in an African Cup of Nations qualifier (kickoff 8pm).
“Their coach is going to fight, because he believes he should have been coach of the South African team. He is going to try to use all his psychological tactics to make sure that all his players follow his instructions,” Mashaba said on Monday after a gruelling training session at Athlone Stadium.
Keshi hasn’t renewed his contract after the West African giants were knocked out in the second round of the World Cup in Brazil. He agreed to take charge of the African champions’ first two matches of the qualifiers while considering his options.
for this talk, we must beat them silly. Imagine nonsense talk coming from a nonsense coach. *splits *
