"[Egypt] The kings of Judah played alternately Egypt against Babylon, and Babylon against Egypt. So Zedekiah was continually meditating help from Egypt, against which Jeremiah and Ezekiel were continually protesting".

That you do not understand the Scripture does no mean that it is funny. The passage is clearly figurative. Invective is put to use there and it is not meant to be decoded if you hardly or do not study.

Songs of Solomon is clearly poetic. Solomon's excessive love for women brought about the book. This explains why the book is filled with the best lines of love and other eroti.c imageries contained therein. The Bible was not toyed with.
