Manchester United have confirmed that summer signing Marcos Rojo has finally been granted the visa that he has been waiting for and will now be able to make his debut for the club against Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford next Sunday.

Issuing a statement via their official website the Old Trafford club revealed that the UK Border Agency had taken the decision to grant the visa. By virtue of having played in more than 75% of Argentina's international games over the last 2 years, Rojo had already automatically obtained a separate work permit, but needed his visa to validate it.

The news was initially broken earlier in the day by Argentina based Fox Sports journalist Christian Martin, who tweeted, "Marcos Rojo has finalised his paperwork and travelled to Lisbon to collect his work permit. He'll be in Manchester later today."
