Today, it is no longer news that nairaland has become an househood name, which rings in the hears of most young and middle age people in Nigeria and even across border...as a matter of research, the major competitors with Nairaland in Nigeria are, ngrVanguard, Lindaikeji's blog, punchng and maybe very few others.

Mr Seun Osewa, pls share some of your key business strategy and tactics for your fans and followers here. And again, I wanna ask, how many hours do you sleep in a night? Considering you need to monitor many things on this platform. Which makes you a very busy man

There are few things i will never share at least for free. This is because they took me several sleepless night to come up with it, and besides, people don't usually value what they receive for free especially on the internet.

It is still part of giving back to the society. It is good, it is right and it is also fun...I also knew how busy he could be, perherps the cause of the delay in replying us...

What really is success to you. Man attains success when he helps others to do the same. You can keep hiding your secrets as you have said but I can assure you that no success is guaranteed this way. You think you have achieved many things by sleepless nights and you think it is therefore worth hiding, then maybe I should tell that sleepless nights does not assure success.

So whatever it is you think you have achieved is nothing compared to what you will achieve when you learn to help other up the ladder.

How do you expect such person to tell you the secret of their success..if he tells you now he started with body organ trading or yahoo yahoo, or hired assassin or drug baron, is that an inspiring thng that u would have loved to hear? When people talk I read in between the line. Seem you don't understand my message very well. Read my post again, what I meant is that there are some ideas that differentiate you from others in the business world, and you don't expect such Ideas to be share in public(especially on the internet) because that's what make you difference among numerous competitors around.

Let face reality here, successful people only tell you some of their challenges and how lucrative their businesses are in order to encourage or motivate you. They will never tell you what make them different in their respective businesses.

The best way to attain success in a particular line of business is not by asking the person his/her business secrete but by emulate and study him/her I.e, their way of life,principles and market/service delivery strategies or styles.

You may ask general question about his business but not what make him different(his secrete).

You perspective was quite wrong. Besides, I was not saying I'm a successful man.

Life is a survival of the fittest, likewise the business. There are thousands of people out there who're already started or wants to do the same business you were thinking of. Therefore, your business secrete is what make you unique,outstanding and different from others.

Bros, either you'll like to believe it or not, I've made money on Nland, still making money here and also got a job here and as well as great biz ideas dat works for me. We didn't tell you we are hungry pple. wht we re asking seun is part of life and it makes him more elevated and popular and could fetch him more money. I have been on Nairaland since it started in 2005 (this is one of my website's account).

The "secret" to Seun's Nairaland success isn't rocket science.

A few things played an active role:

1. Timing- In 2005, an organized discussion board was not a mainstream Nigerian online activity.
Seun took it upon himself to create one which wasn't focused on a small niche, but encompassed an entire
discussion spectrum in the Nigerian context.

FYI the original Nairaland was an SMF forum, which is a free open source script. This means you can
create a site that looked exactly like it within 10 minutes, and call it Nairaworld or whatever.

2. Perserverance- A few other Nigerian discussion boards sprang up at about the same time, but their admins
weren't patient enough to see it through. Managing a new forum can be a very depressing activity. You create multiple threads
in the hope that someone finds it interesting enough to say something.... Anything!

This is the stage so many give up. They find themselves essentially coming to the site daily to delete spam posts by bots
posting viagra ads. They get tired of it, and move on.

This applies to almost any kind of business. If you don't have the patience, discipline and motivation to keep going
in bleak circumstances, then you'll never see the end of it.
