Raiders: President Bush and Obama usually visit their troops to boost the soldiers morale. President Jonathan dont really care about the soldiers morale. why should he still remain in Kenya when Nigeria just lost its territory to boko haram? The Kenya meeting is not important because he can send his aides to represent him in Kenya. Nigeria is in a state of war and we need a strong leader.

When pearl harbour was attacked Americans came out enmass to fight.

They never gave a dam about Roosevelt visitation which I believe never took place.

How many of them do you think are really soldiers from the heart

Our faulty recruitment process has churn out un military minded soldiers who use weapons as excuse.

true. we need a strong leader Gej is too weak. we need some one like Obasenjo. Gej is afraid of the ICC. and insurgent under stand force and we should use force not this attack and relax to avoid clvillian casualties stuff, u cnt end terrorism wth such mindset.
Countries like Uganda have been stockpiling their military asset with latest weapons and amunition and there are succeeding in the fight against Alshabab.

Let's tell our yeye military to change the pattern they recruit

A great runner do not translate to a great commanding officer whether at tactical level or strategic level.

A battle wise person will have better comportion and will rarely desert because he can think out what to do unlike those lacking wisdom
I agree with you on your statement about changing the recruitment policy. I saw an advert on Nairaland 2 days ago from a person claiming to have slots into the Nigeria army and asking for money. do you know that Nigeria is the only country in the world where army recruits have to bribe their way into joining the army or have a Godfather to endorse their employment into the army. We are recruiting mediocre soldiers into our armed forces and recruitment should be solely on merit. how do you expect a person that got into the army by bribing his way to fight till death for Nigeria? he is going to drop his weapon and desert when a bunch of ragtag terrorists attack his army post.

"No heroes, just technicians". That has a nice ring to it. Those are the sort of words that help calm the nerves of combat pilots as well as grunts on the ground, helping them focus their every sense and instinct on the task at hand as they saddle up for launch forth into harms way.

To the Nigerian Air Force, just remember when the wheels leave the ground on takeoff for war, that the entire free world counts you prominently among today's chosen defenders of justice, sanity and righteousness, who are both duty bound and destined to comprehensively annihilate the advancing slave-trader hordes sent to scorch Nigerian soil, straight from the very bowels of Hades, whence they must soon be dispatched in droves.

All the best, Nigeria's fighter jet jockeys and helicopter gunship crews. You fight on the side of that which is right, and you must do so with the cold precision and merciless intensity essential for a swift reduction to minced-meat, scrap metal and rubble, of all assigned targets on the ground.

[b]The truth is as at last night evil boko was in charge of Bama. The senator representing borno central confirmed it last night on BBC.
He also confirmed that the military is currently fighting towards recapturing the town. He challenged anyone including the military to prove him wrong by showcasing the town to everyone on TV.

It's foolish for those that think stating the truth as it is makes one an evil boko sympathizer. The truth needs to be told so that we will be able to understand our problem real good. If evil boko can overrun the town of Bama where a military formation exist in less than 5 hrs on Monday with the military still battling to recover it days after, I have my doubts that that the military can protect maiduguri. Gwoza is also there already in evil bokos hands.

It brings to question the competence of our beloved military. Where are all the billions allocated to it over the years going to?

Evil boko must be crushed but demdem doesnt believe it can be achieved under the leadership of the current c in c.

Boko Haram never took control of Bama as The Nation would want us to believe. The battle of Bama is an ongoing war. Just wondering why they are not reporting on Gwoza where the insurgents are being chased away en masse. I don't expect a Tinubu owned tabloid to report on the Bama siege in a way that will paint the Government and Nigerian Army in good light. Shame on them, Boko Haram members are being killed in their thousands in the outskirts of Bama and Gwoza.

Stop this tinubu thrash talk and let's face reality as co citizens of this country.
This Bama issue has been pending since Monday wirh claims and counter claims. The govt I know will go all out to showcase the town to everyone on nta if they are in charge of Bama. This haven't been done since Monday.
The senator whose constituents lives there ( a pdp senator- can't remember his name now) was on BBC and demanded to be proven wrong by the military as at last night.
Am not excited about this news. Why should I? However it will be wrong for us not to state the truth as it is.
As at last night, evil boko remains in Bama amidst bombardment from the military from outside Bama. That is the truth.
Let the govt prove the senator wrong by sending her journalists to Bama with Nigerian soldiers walking freely and socialising with the citizens.

The simple truth is Tinubu owns The Nation and you know he who pays the piper, calls the tune. The Bama battle is an intermittent one, Boko Haram is not in control of the town as Senator Zannah, Babangida's right hand man would want us believe. The journalists with Senator Zannah can make their way to Bama on their own to see the true picture of things instead of them reporting trash from the comfort of their sofa.

The NA that is on ground in Bama has given us the real picture of things saying they are still in the process of making sure that no Boko Haram is lurking around Bama and its outskirts. The onus of proof lies on Boko Haram's mouthpiece - I mean Sahara Reporters, Punch, The Nation, BBC and the numerous Boko Haram sympathizers on Nairaland.

So since u claim Tinubu owns it, does it also mean that the daily can't state the truth as it is also? If u don't think so, what can u say about Thisday, vanguard, sun etc govt aligned papers?

The Bama battle is an intermittent one, Boko Haram is not in control of the town as Senator Zannah, Babangida's right hand man would want us believe.

The only intermittent battle is the aerial bombardment and nothing more. Zannah, IBB (jonaadaft father) are in pdp. Infact bringing IBB to this discuss is inconsequential. The senator surely has more men on ground being a senator from the place.

The journalists with Senator Zannah can make their way to Bama on their own to see the true picture of things instead of them reporting trash from the comfort of their sofa.

No journalists is with the senator instead govt have her own journalists who have so far refused to investigate.
The only trash is from the govt that claimed is currently in control and can't showcase these towns on nta.

Have u wondered why the press releases from na as regards their being in charge of Bama is either from maiduguri or abuja itself. The NA claim they are in charge and yet 5 days and counting they have not deemed it fit to invite journalists to the safe towns where they are in charge?
None of these ones needs to prove anything but the govt who have been known to lie several times to substantiate their claims of victory in Bama. This they haven't done and can't do for now because they truly aren't in control like they claimed.

Raiders: Nigeria Army dey fork up. why cant they destroy the rag-tag terrorist? Nigeria army used to be the best in Africa. Nigeria is losing territory while GEJ is out of the country and don't seems to care. he is the Commander in chief of the Nigeria army and should be in country supervising the army. GEJ needs to step up his game or step down

So America and his allies defeated Al-Qaida, Taliban or Isis in a night abi, yeye boy

when was the last time did Al- Qaida, Isis or Taliban attack US? Al- Qaida or ISIS can not invade US territory like Boko haram is capturing different towns and cities in Nigeria.

It beats my imagination the way bama fighting is being reported by some media outlets.
A careful study of historical warfare shows that an opposing army takes over a territory when they have completely overun the location following total retreat by soldiers of the other side. As the soldiers retreat the war stops. This is then followed by mounting of flags at all location, a sign to show that the new territory is indeed been taken over by the opposing army.
This is however not the case in bama. It is true Boko Haram are in bama, but to say that Boko Haram have taken over and are in full control of the town is a blatant LIE! How can they (Boko Haram) be said to be in control when intensified battles have been raging on since monday with the army still very much in position at strategic locations waiting for aerial support?
It's save to save Boko Haram have entered bama stationed at a particular area as fighting rages on but in reality have not overun place.
Nigerian Army still very much on ground holding strategic locations.
More grease to the Nigerian Army.

Firefire: Terrorism is a global fight... Devils’ strategy for the last days

Check the world map and see how terrorism is spreading. sad

Nigeria can only win the war faster if we stop reading and spreading lies and propaganda.

Our prayers should be with our troop that God should grant them GRACE and SAFETY as they face those who don’t want to live.

GOD BLESSES Nigerian Armed Forces.

They have surpassed terrorism and are now threatening our territorial integrity by invading Nigeria and the people sadled with the responsibility to stop them are failing due to negligence by the Federal Goovrnment because the president and legislators are busy embezln or contestn for electns, i hope there would stil be a Nigeria for them to rule come 2015....May God help us all

What did they used during their ECOMOG days.

My friend

I have studied our military and can tell you that Nigerian military cant win sufficient battles once her airpower is neutralized.

Do you know why

1) Because those who are gifted militarily are denied admission into the military using Man know Man criteria

2) Our military stress on strength instead of brain during recruitment because they fail to realise that physical strength can be built but Battle wisdom is natural though can be train through lots of education which unfortunately we lack.

Art of War by Sun tzu and German military philosopher Clausewitz stressed more on battle wisdom during recruitment.

All Advanced nations stress on battle wisdom why we still hold on to colonial doctrine of strength because we failed to realized that the British never needed our battle wisdom because they had Britons who could do it.

Nigerian military should stop telling applicants to run 3km first but should ask them mind questions to see how they think in order to know if they have natural battle wisdom.[/quote]
Seconded.
Water don enter pipeline.
Nigeria was handed over to the wrong hands.
Till this moment, wrong people are running the affairs of every sector in Nigeria.
Until we accept that we are bad, i fear the worst.
Our leaders are fighting for power, unemployment has turned graduates to ritualists, our girls don turn Olosho, children are fearless, Ebola lurking, why won't BH took over Bama?!
We were raised by the bastards of 1969, that's more conerned with the next election rather than their people.
SMH.
