The Emir of Kano Alhj. Muhammad Sanusi the 2nd has charged women to embark on engineering education so as to compete with their male counterpart and contribute to Nation building.
He stated this while receiving the Association of Professional Women Engineers Kano chapter who paid him a visit. The Emir expressed the emirate's readiness to assist the association achieve its goals.

The president of the association Engr. Ramatu Aminu Muhammad stated that they are very few in the society hence the need to encourage more girls to study engineering as a profession.
The association congratulated the Emir on his appointment as the new Emir of Kano.
