I could remember when I was young, we (my 2 brothers and a sister) all had pet kid-goats. It was fun and cool having them around. All those 'kids-goats' jumping around made it even great. As innocent children that we were, we never had the premonition that someday, our pets would end up in soup and stew pots; it actually happened. My sister got angry at a time that she wasn't gonna eat the meat from her own goat; she later ended up eating the food. As an adult now, I've seen folks kill and eat their pets; Dogs, goats and even cat. Some will tell you that their 'edible-pets' became sick and to avoid wasting the meat, they consumed it. Now I ask YOU, as a pet owner, will you have the heart and guts to consume your pet after creating that bond and months/years of friendship? |
