Beware - don't mind the title o! this is a story based on my Nigerian adaptation of a first person shooter game, read on maybe you can guess the name of the game besides it could be fun, there's only one way to find out.

Prologue

The hunter placed his hand on the trigger placidly as he tuned in his ears to the sounds of unclean birds crowing and croaking noisily and flapping their wings before flying from branch to branch, his legs trying to move steathily through bushes and twigs in the search of prey despite the fact he couldn't see almost anything in the dense jungle unpenetrated by light. He had been wandering here for days and didn't even know the way he had gotten in after tracking down a bush warthog and losing it. He needed to get food as his family as they were starving, leaving the jungle would come later.

Then he noticed animal tracks appear after whispering incantations into a calabash he carried holding a talisman and ordering it to show him the way.

"He who has a lamp never gets lost in the dark"

He brought the dane gun with a bayonet armed on it's muzzle to his eye level. He was back on the warthog's tracks and quickened his pace on seeing its large snout sticking out of a shrub. The power of the talisman dampened as the light dimmed into darkness. He started running.

He fired two quick shots at the animal bringing it down. He rushed to carry it as if someone else would appear out of nowhere and take it away. As soon as he touched the warthog, he received a feeling of nausea as the jungle began spinning around him rapidly.

He opened his eyes and felt all his clothes wet as he was in a thick muddy cascade, around his waist tightened as he was being held in a tight grip by something that had really sharp claws that pierced his skin. he shivered at the thought of dying at the hands of an evil spirit being.

He searched his side using his hands for the belt on which the calabash holding the talisman was strapped, it wasn't there anymore.

As he looked down and saw the talisman in the swamp and tried to reach for it but couldn't. He's eyes scorched as he stared into the face of whatever was holding him revealing a nigthmarish vision of a demon crossbred with a hulking primate holding a long pronged fork with fire burning at it's tip, a large hand heaved it up. He picked the talisman and tried to recite some incantations, it was useless. The shaft came down hard on him piercing through the center of his heard spilling blood and grey matter. The talisman fell off.

The hunter was dead.
