Whether we like it or not, thats what nigeria needs for rapid growth. Operation of gas plants is heavily politisized and skidded

9jagobetta:
The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, has said there was a need for uncommon thinking to end the power challenge battling the country.

He said, “We spent over two hours at the Monday Executive Council meeting deliberating on Nuclear Energy for the state and how it could be deployed in use in the state. That shows you we intend to address issues of Power. We sat down with one of the foremost experts, a Nigerian, who took us through all the protocols that are needed for establishing it. “In less than three years we can establish it, especially when we need not do distribution, but places like the Lekki Free Zone can have the Nuclear Power between 15 and 24 months.”
.

Why do Nigerians like rushing in, where sane people fear to tread? Does Fashola know the amount of radioactive waste that would be generated from the use of nuclear energy? Is he aware of how toxic, such waste & nuclear emissions can be? Are they aware of the need for containment sites and the protocols for disposal of radioactive waste?

Why is it that they always choose Lekki for their shenanigans? Who have we offended in this Lekki, for goodness sake?? shocked
