Atiku is the only politician that looted the treasury but still went ahead to invest in Nigeria. The rest stashed it in a private bank abroad or squandered theirs. Atiku is an intelligent thief if you ask me. 1 Like |

Why is every sneeze, cough and fart by Atiku Abubakar making Front Page instantly in Nairaland?
Looks like his recent visit to Lagos to cream a photo opportunity with the grieving family late Dimgba Igwe of Sun newspaper (a very despicable and selfish act, if you ask me) and his meeting with e-Warriors is yielding fruit political fruits.
Currently there are 3 Front Page posts on NL, all on Atiku's declaration. On the other hand, there are over 500 posts on Oba of Lagos bombshell that he personally delivered bribes from General Abacha to yoruba Obas to help scuttle MKO Abiola's mandate, and to douse the mass protests and agitations by Nigerians for the actualisation of Abiola's June 12 mandate. Many Nigerians lost their lives to this struggle, and it has become a key landmark in our political landscape. Yet NL Mods and Seun Osewa do not consider this FP material.
Atiku's brown envelopes are working wonders. Receiving gratification to suppress some stories and blow others up selectively, is one of the ways journalists are contributing to undermining democracy and emergence of credible political leadership in Nigeria.
Despite overwhelming unpopularity of Atiku as an upright politician, despite the fact that he soiled his hands during his chairmanship of Technical Committee on Privatization (TCP) and National Council on Privatisation (NCP) under OBJ's presidency, despite the fact that is is common knowledge that he stupendously enriched himself as head of Nigerian Customs Service, (he in fact used that position to arrange lucrative deals for himself via Intels Logistics Services and his business partner late Shehu Musa Yar'Adua), Nairaland owners are hell bent on foisting and ramming him down our throats. 1 Like |

Sir, you got it wrong! You do not have to attain the highest office to bring change to Nigeria. Your generation has failed the country. It only makes sense that you support the younger generation to lead the country if you honestly mean well for Nigeria. What has a 60 years old got to offer a day old baby? when the 60 years old would most likely not live to see that child's 10th birthday?
Your role in Nigeria today should be: 1. Creating jobs. 2. Investing in the youths. 3. Support the fight against corruption. 4. Helping the people in your state. 5. Start a scholarship fund for your people. Nigeria has a population of over 170 million people. It was an insult to us that OBJ had to rule us twice. It will be doom to us if you return, especially haven't been part of the old brigade. Your son(s) and daughter(s) would be preferred as part of the younger generation. You would have to first perform political ritual in your household by eating your children's cake before practicing on the youths of Nigeria. 1 Like |

ATIKU AND WHOSE FAULT IS THIS? GEJ OF COURSE NOT. IS NOT THE RULING PDP's FAULT THAT A POOR HAUSA PEASANT FARMER WILL GET MARRIED TO FOUR WIVES, GIVE BIRTH TO THIRTY TWO CHILDREN ,AT A VERY TENDER AGE OF FIVE ALL THE MALE CHILDREN WOULD BE ABANDONED BY THE PARENTS, THEY WOULD BE GIVEN PLASTIC PLATES TO MOVE AROUND THE TOWN/ VILLAGE AND BEG NEVER TO RETURN TO THEIR FATHER'S HOUSE.
ANYWHERE NIGHT FALLS THAT BECOMES THEIR ABODE UNTIL THEY ARE OLD ENOUGH TO DO MENIAL JOBS TO CATER FOR THEMSELVES. HENCE THE REASON THEY JOINED BOKO HARAM AND ARE CAUSING SECURITY CHALLENGES TO THE COUNTRY.
HAUSA PEOPLE ARE THE PROBLEM WE HAVE IN THIS COUNTRY .THEY ARE THE ONES CAUSING TENSION AND MUTUAL DISTRUST AMONG THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA. HAUSAS ARE THE REASON WHY THERE IS NO PEACE IN NIGERIA.
ATIKU I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO GO AND ENJOY YOUR LOOT AND FORGET ABOUT RULING THIS COUNTRY CALLED NIGERIA.
