3 Reasons Why You Should Follow Your Passion! by Nobody: 10:05am On Sep 26, 2014
Many of us have a passion; something that we love to spend time doing whenever we have the opportunity to do it. We often consider it to be just a hobby and do not invest the time to discover if this so called “hobby” could actually become our life’s work. There is absolutely no reason except for one, why your passion cannot become your career if you are willing to put in the work; the only exception is if your passion does not have the ability to become profitable. We have put together the three top reasons why you should pursue your passion as a career:

1. You will be better at it.

Countless studies have proven that when a person truly love what they do, they are much better at it than anyone else doing it. You will have an automatic advantage over other people in your field, because you already have a huge amount of passion in that area which drives you to be extraordinary – and with that extra effort you will most likely be successful.

2. You will love your job.

The dream for many people is to get up every morning, and be happy that they get to go to work doing what the love. They put the time in, they do the research, and they pour in all their effort – because it doesn’t really feel like work! You truly enjoy your job. In addition your HEALTH will thank you!

3. You will inspire others.

There will be people around you – other colleagues, friends, family, perhaps even your children (now or one day) that will face the same decision as you: a commercial job, or a career that they love? If you are able to follow your dreams, then it will inspire other people around you to realize that they too can pursue their passions and make it their livelihood.

■Remember as with anything in life, there are no shortcuts, you have to put in the work and sometimes you have to remain in the current job you are not so crazy about, until your passionate job becomes available or your passionate business becomes profitable. Thank you, my hope is that you find the courage to take a bold step to doing that which you were created for.

I leave you with a quote from Steve Jobs about loving what you do:

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

I completely agree with the writer that rather than investing your time, it is important to invest your passion and achieve your career goals. I have seen people who start freelancing and then tune their skills to the level that they easily get heavy paid jobs. The trend of online education is also common these days where online portals such as http://www.ezworkexperiencedegree.com get work experience degree and apply in any potential firm. My own friend who was skilled in graphic designer got colllege credit on work experience and joined a graphic designing firm. So it is important to pursue your career with a passion and value your work.
