The Government of Akwa Ibom State will begin payment of Student's Bursary on Monday 29th September, 2014. Schools to be paid include: University of Uyo, Akwa Polythenic, Uyo City Polythenic, Heritage College, College of Education, School of Nursing, AKSU, Open University, University of Calabar, Crutech/Open University Calabar, School of Nursing (C.R.S), Distant Institutions.

Pick a copy of Weekend Pioneer Newspaper to check your name and if you are a beneficiary, the following documents will be needed for screening:
1. Original Copy of Admission letter
2. Original Copy of Wassc or Neco/SSCE Certificate and not statement of result
3. Original Copy of Certificate of Origin
4. 2011/2012 School fee receipt
5. Institution's Student's ID Card.
