Nigeria is a country blessed with soooo many ethnic groups and they do differ in soooo many ways.
Amongst these ethnic groups are the Yorubas, Efiks.......okay we know all this tongue
So here are some common misconceptions about Nigerians by Nigerians... Yup within us..

1. Every Calabar person eats dog meat
Oh well.... Dog meat really is a specialty in Calabar but C'mon not everyone would eat their pet.. cheesy

2. In TIV land, men show they value their friends by offering them their wives as kola when they come visiting
Yup! It was practised in TIV land oh so long ago.. But in this generation I guess not..

3. Only Northerners and Westerners have Tribal Marks
Nah... In the south, tribal marks are common.. I think the story behind most is "Casting out Ogbanje" I no know ooo.. lipsrsealed

4. Every Ogoni person is a descendant of Ken Saro Wiwa
We wish.... Trust me I know... Every time I say.. "I'm Ogoni" someone goes "Oh!!!! Saro Wiwa's Sister" Really tho?? undecided
Most people don't even know where Ogoni is... Na for Rivers state ooo.

5. Everyone with the same surname is related
Okay... That someones surname is Same as another doesn't mean they are related.. They might even be from different tribes. I've heard when gossip goes as "So the boy surname na Adeyemi? No wonder e get work for here becos oga na him broda" Oga's surname is Adeyemi.. Smh

6. Everybody is from the most popular town in their state
So every one from Delta state is a Warri sombori... No ooo.. Or that every Cross Riverian is a Calabar person... Or that every Rivers pikin na Ikwerre? No ooo... There are other LGA's too..

Well that's all I can remember for now... You can add yours.. wink

Other misconceptions:

1. GMB is the head of boko haram, yet the GCFR cannot arrest him.

2. GMB is too old, but Jonathan at 59 is the young genius, and Awolowo and Azikiwe that contested elections at 75 and 76 were not old

3. Jonathan is not corrupt...yet we don't know where our 20b dollars is and what our reserves was spent on.

4. PDP is an igbo party, yet the president, vice president. Senate leader, house of rep leader are not igbos...

5. Buhari does not have certificate, yet he contested 2003, 2007, 2011 with the same rules, same certification criteria.

6. Buhari will islamatise the country, yet when he was a military leader that had supreme powers to do anything, he didn't.

7. And the worst of all is GEJ will still lead us, even if we vote against him.

GMB2015
That presidency belongs to the north and it gives to whom it sees fit. That it's OK for northerners to vote along ethnic and religious lines, but Southerners are called names when they copy northerners.
That northerners don't see any evil once a fellow northerner is at the helm of affairs and can kill southerners over political problems in Middle East.

Sorry ooo, I mean no disrespect, but concerning that ur no. 5, I think u should get ur facts right. In the year 2003, 2007, and 2011, there was no where in the constitution where it required any aspirant to submit any result. After the elections in 2011, the constitution was reviewed and amended, so now it is stated clearly that every aspirant is required to submit their certificate, that was why sambo had to request for his. APC cannot argue this fact, but its supporters are .....well I don't knw.
And for ur no. 6, I don't knw if u were alive wen he was in power then, we all knw he took the initial steps before his broda IBB completed the deal. So plsss, get ur facts right before you start saying stuffs u don't knw.
Once again, no disrespect meant
