Ask them to start listing leaders in industry, academia or public life that attended their uni and see them start scratching their heads.

Like if majority ending up being bank branch cashiers after 10 years is what makes their unis top class.

With the way some of them lack any form of objectivity and analytical prowess, I lose respect even more for their university.

UI has proved d bst ova d yrs,UNILAG is undoubtedly d most organizd,beautiful,cult violence free uni, and wit som of d best lecturers (som of wich r frm UNN,UI,LAUTECH,OAU).
u just cnt ignore OAU cos of her many hot products evrywhere.

Without an iota of doubt,this is d top 3:ui,unilag,oau in no definite other. then skuls lyke uniben,illorin,unn,abu,port can reasonably make d 4th and 5th positioin.while oda skuls lyk lasu,futa,unaab,futo,jos and covenant folow.but wit time i tink good private varsities wil come out tops.

If you guys are ranking, I want us to rank with five giant names in any field (politics, economics, law, medicine, phamarcy, education e.t.c)and their impact in nigerian society. then i think we will get the best school. I give example

UI may have taught WS(he actually uses Leeds in his profile and I have never seen UI in his profile before, just hear people say he went to UI) he became a Prof and won nobel laurette as Ife lecturer. You can imagine stuffs he would have put into students he taught for the many years he was an Ife lecturer. He also became a professor emeritus in Ife. So WS is more synonymous with Ife.

stop deceiving yourself, most of these universities merely rely on past academic records, i have many friends who attended Ife and UI but they are very poor.i was not opportuned to attend any of the federal universities but i am proud of my Alma Mata Bowen University Iwo and its academic standard.

UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS, UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS, UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS, INDEED AND IN TRUTH. although UNN, UI, ABU are trying in their own small way, none can match the Greatness of AKOKA, it's no wonder 4 products of Akoka have been chosen as ministers, the senate leader(ndoma-egba) is an akokite, minority whip(ganiyu solomon) is an akokite, we dominate boards of corporate organisations, i could go on and on, the list is endless. UNILAG, Nigeria's university of first choice and the nations pride.
