Headline: Barcelona face expulsion if Catalonia splits from Spain
The President of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Javier Tebas, said on Tuesday that in the hypothetical case of the region of Catalonia becoming independent from Spain, FC Barcelona and Espanyol would not be able to continuing playing football in the Spanish League.
Tebas’ words add a new dimension to the ongoing debate over the Catalan Independence Referendum, which is scheduled for November 9, although the Spanish Constitutional Court has ruled that all preparations should be put on hold as a result of the Spanish government’ s appeal that the vote is unconstitutional.
According to the President of the RFEF, should that vote go ahead and the Catalans vote to separate from Spain, Catalan football club’ s would need to form their own league.
“They will not play in la Liga if Catalonia becomes independent and they will not do so for the following reasons: the Sporting Law, has an additional clause which says there is only one non-Spanish state which can play in la Liga or in official Spanish competitions and that is Andorra,” said Tebas, who explained that any change to that law would have to be made in the Spanish Parliament.
“We would have to see if the affected sector was in agreement with that or not,” he added.
FC Barcelona is one of the biggest football clubs, not just in Spain, but also in the world, and the ‘Clasico’ between Barcelona and Real Madrid is the biggest club match in the world and should the two teams play in different leagues it would probably have negative effects for all concerned

I stumbled on the new above, post it on my whatsapp group, sea of thoughts was flowing, we were juxtaposing and the realities of the two breakaway regions of both countries pose a big question .

Do you know that 80% of Spanish players and sportsmen are from the Catalonia Region, of the biggest football clubs in Spain is in Catalonia while in Spanish national team the Catalonians make up to 70% regular and influential players.
If Catalonia should break away, not just football in Spain will suffer but the entertainment industry and the sportworld will feel the devastating impact.
Imagin LaLiga without Barca or Spanish national team without Xavi, Pique, Iniesta et al...the will go from contenders to pretenders.

Here in Nigeria, the breakway Eastern Region and dominant ethnic Igbos are the heart and soul of the Nigeria sport. Out of the 5 best clubs in Nigeria 3 are located in the region while the rest couldnt sustain the remaining 2.
In the national team and age level competition, the Biafrans are dominating, they have the most succesful and influential athletes not just in Nigeria but in Africa. They produce the best splinters and soccerstars, from Christian Chukwu and Alloy Agu to Okocha to Oliseh, Kanu, from Chioma Ajunwa to Mary Onyali to Perpetual Nkwocha to Vera Okoro, from Uche Emedolu and Obinna Metu to Francis Obikwelu, from Dick Tiger to Hoggan Bassey to Samuel Peters to Ike Ibeabuchi, Mikel Obi to Kelechi Iheanacho to Emenike...the list is endles both in cricket, basketball, track n field to the unusual NFL in the US.
Its on record that the first commonwealth medal Nigeria won was through Emmanuel Ifeajuna while it took Chioma Ajunwa"s individual effort to give Nigeria her first Olympic Gold Medal after her parents survived a 30month ethnic cleansing and pogrom ochestrated by the Nigeria government.

Let Catalonia and Biafra go, what do you think will happen to the sports of the 2 respective countries?
A LaLiga without Espanyo and a Nigeria League without Rangers,
a league without Barca and Enyimba is as good as a deathleague.

A Spanish team without the Catalonians is a object so easy for the German Machines to grind and the Three Lions to devour without raising a claw,....the Super Eagle without the Biafrans is a "KFC Chicken" for th Blackstars, Elephants and Indominatable Lions to devour without being wary of any bone.

I think Biafrans shoukd stop playing for the Zoo. Anytime a Biafran scores a goal in european league, they should reveal an undervest proclaiming Biafra. Let's educate the world about the necesity of Biafra. I do not see any reason why we Biafrans should continue playing in the zoo national team. Abandon all zoo teams let them crumble. Let the Hausa and yorubas play alone in the zoo teams, let them use their quota system there. Let us see how inconsequential Biafrans are.

I have dedicated my life to studies and research to help rescue Biafra from Zoo. I am certain that I will come up with something that will be a bad news and a back warmer to the Zoo.

In Biafra we stand
God bless the republic of Biafra
Biafra shall be Africa's industrial hub
The home of scientists
Hands crossed.
