I worked twice as a WHO Immunization Monitor while serving (NYSC) last year and I was paid 10k for the three days. That was in Benue state. The Vaccinators should receive between 20 - 25k for the duration of the programme which is usually 3 - 4 days.

Nah. I ve worked both as a vaccinator and an independent monitor(twice). Was paid 3000 as a vaccinator and 12000 as an independent monitor. Though the vaccinators are the ones doing the work yet they are the ones being paid the lowest. Its the state of the nation.

My dear, I actually wanted to write 3k because I heard from the grapevine then that that was what they were paid but I felt it won't be the truth since they do more physical work than the Independent Monitors. That was why I said they should be paid 20 - 25k.
Thanks for clarifying.

Ok. Actually they are the ones that do more but they are being paid less. I think the reason is cos they are mostly secondary school leavers and even they are older people, those ones might not be graduates.

Azin eh. The forms no be here. I think monitors are given higher priorities cos its the report being given by them is what its being used to know the success of the exercise. With WHO knowing which ward had the highest or lowest coverage.

What if an applicant come with a higher certificate. Like UniversityDiploma, HND, BSC etc.
And
what does it takes to be part of the monitoring team or supervisor?

Most times they use corps members in that state cos they feel they are unbiased in judgement since they may not be related to any member of the community. But in some states, relatives and friends of the organizers are used unless you heard of the training and decide to gatecrash, with luck if you pass the test, you might be selected.

read the post before yours. It explains it better. And the answer to your question will be yes if there are people who knows you and can slide your name into the list. But, ones local government is the sure way
