DELAYED HARVEST:
While the earth remains seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease -Gen8:22.
When a farmer sows a seed, the next thing that will be on his mind is to harvest it when it is time. The time it takes to harvest corn is different from that of yam, while that of yam is different from that of cocoa. This is also similar to the way man receives his harvest from God. If you sow a seed to God and you did not receive the harvest in time. Do not panic! He has not forgotten you; it is just that the time of your harvest has not yet come. Others that you sowed together with may be reaping their harvest as early as possible, but know that the time it takes to harvest corn is different from that of cocoa planted at the same time. Remember it took Hannah several years to receive a child from God while Peninnah her adversery have had children for Elkanah their husband (1Sam 1). "Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" Gal -6:7. God has an appointed time of releasing your harvest to you. It takes patience to receive from Him. Abraham received God's promise, Isaac at an old age. God's promises always come to fulfillment no matter what, but it all depends on your faith and character. " And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it" -Mark4:4. It is good to sow, but it is best to know the type of ground you are sowing your seed. Whenever you want to sow, always know the type of church you are sowing into. And whenever you are sowing to God make sure you have no sin inside of you. As you sow this month, you shall reap a greater harvest in Jesus name. Amen.

DESTINY KILLERS:
And when it was day, some of the Jews banded together and bound themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul -Acts23:12.
Whenever a child is born, the devil assigns something or some forces to terminate his destiny. This forces can rise from the father's house, the mother's house, within the family or from the neighbourhood. "And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? Or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words" -Gen37:8. Joseph was a child of great destiny. When he revealed his destiny to His brothers, they became jealous of his destiny and they conspired against him to kill him and his destiny. Any one who holds a great destiny must be prepared for great battles. If you happen to be the type who doesn't know how to fast and pray, know that the enemy have free access to your destiny and can kill it at anytime. Even Jesus Christ after He was born, king Herod seek His life to destroy it. Whenever the enemy hears of ones destiny they will use every means available to destroy it. You must never reveal your destiny to anyone like Joseph did. If you do, you will throw yourself into more troubles. Sin can also destroy ones destiny. If you still have pleasure in sin, know that you are choking your destiny with your own hands. "for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" -Jer29:11. God's plan for mankind was taunted by the devil. But if you can hold on to Him and flee from sin and be prayerful, you will live to see the fulfilment of your destiny. God Bless you.

A GIVING THAT PINCHES:
What shall I render unto the LORD for all His benefits towards me? -Pslm 116:12.
It is a good thing to give back to God who first gave us what we possess. Many believers are fond of giving to God the least, less and rotten part of what God has giving them. While others do their giving with frowness and anger to God. This is a case of Cain and Abel. Cain's attitude towards his offering was very bad but Abel was accepted. If your person has been rejected by God, your offerings can never be accepted. But the King replied to Araunah, "No, I insist on paying you for it, I will not sacrifice unto the Lord burnt offerings that cost me nothing."- 2Sam 24:24a. This was the word of King David when he was told to offer up sacrifice unto the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. Araunah insist on giving King David the threshing floor and sacrificial animal for free which he rejected. Unlike King David, many would have jumped on that offer and end up giving to God what cost them nothing, hoping to receive from him again. Stop deceiving yourself! God is not a begger. He only wants to know if you can surrender everything He has giving you to Him just like father Abraham did, when he offered up Isaac. Another person who made an offering that pinch in the bible was the poor widow whom Jesus talked about (Luk21:3-4). While the rich did their giving out of there riches, this poor widow gave all his life savings to God. No wonder Jesus talked about her. "But who am I and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generous as this? Everything comes from you, and we have giving you only what comes from your hand" -1Chro29:14. Nothing we possess in life is ours. All were giving to us by God, hence no man should hold back what God has first giving him from God. Does your giving pinch? God bless you.

HEAVEN OR HELL?:
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liers shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." -Rev21:8.
All sinners will have their part in 'HELL'. As horrible as that sound, many people in the world today are still living a life that warrants them of a place in hell fire. The devil will be so happy to welcome them aboard. No wonder the way to hell fire is so wide that billions of people can walk through it at a time. "...for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it"-Matt7:13. Hell was initially created for the devil and his angels. But the devil with deceit brought sin upon man in order to cause man to share of his punishment. "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it"-Matt7:14. The bible says no unclean thing shall see the kingdom of God. That's true! That has made many to give up easily, thinking they can never make it up there. They return to their former life of sin and live by fate instead of faith. Remember Moses sinned against God but still made it to Heaven. "So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs but of God who shows mercy" -Rom9:16. Stop thinking you can't make it to heaven. What you see is different from what God sees in you, because God and man don't look from the same angle. All men are sinners. It is only mercy and grace that can save us. All you have to do is to seek first the kingdom of God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and leave the rest for God. By faith me and you shall be counted worthy of a place in heaven. God bless you.

ZACCHAEUS WAS SHORT!:
Your sins have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear you -Isa39:2.
Zacchaeus was a tax collector - a chief tax collector. All tax collectors of their times were found as sinners. Because of the devious means in which they collect money from innocent people. On one faithful day, when Jesus was passing through Jericho, Zacchaeus sought to know who Jesus was but could not because of his short stature. Many so called believers of this recent times are like this short man. Our sins have made us so short that we cannot see God's presence neither are we able to hear from Him. Many believers are fond of complaining saying: "I've been born again for several years now, but i haven't receive any answers to my prayers". Check yourself! Inspite of his short stature, Zacchaeus still try harder to see Him but could not because of the crowd. So are believers today, after accepting Jesus into their lives, they are drawn back by the cares of this life. "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God" -Luk9:62. Some after going through different challenges they give up easily without making any effort to overcome it. But unlike Zacchaeus, he never gave up until he found Jesus. The bible said 'he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree'. And finally he found Jesus Christ. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, "Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today i must stay at your house" -Luk19:5. If Zacchaeus could find Jesus inspite of many difficulty, then there is no excuse for you for not finding God's presence and not Knowing who He is. All you need do is to forsake your sins and depart from worldly living. God bless you.

ON THE LAST DAY:
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up -2Pet3:10.
No one knows the appointed time of the coming of the Lord. But as a believer you should always keep watch, so you will not miss that day. Many events will occur before His coming which will throw many into fear. Many will backslide but only the strong in spirit will hold on to the end. "And you will hear of wars and rumurs of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet" -Matt24:6. Before His coming, all the prophesies of the tragedy that will befall the world shall come to its fulfillment. Many are already surfacing in the world today, which have thrown many into thinking that the end of the world has come. No! According to the passage above, which read "...but the end is not yet". All the prophecies of old of the tribulation, famine, sorrow, pain, disaster that will befall the world must first come then the end. "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens will be shaken -Matt24:29. This passage shows the second event that will happen after the tribulation. It is after this that the world will come to an end. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut -Matt25:10. When the day of the Lord comes, what will he find you doing. Will He find you in sin or find you doing His will? This is a question for you to answer. Repent today for Jesus is coming soon. God bless you.

GUARD YOUR HEART:
Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life -Prov 4:23.
A defiled mind cannot go into the realm of the spirit. Anyone who engages in impure thoughts won't be able to receive anything from the Holy Spirit. Immediately you allow impure thoughts in your heart, the place of the Holy Spirit will be overtaken by evil spirits. If care is not taken, such a fellow may find himself practicing such ungodly thoughts. "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God" -Matt 5:8. Purity of heart is very important in the life of a christian, for God himself is Holy and anyone who comes to Him must also be Holy. If you are the type whose heart is filled with envy, anger, unforgiveness and sexual immorality, dont expect answers to your prayers whenever you pray. Because a polluted heart cannot communicate with God. A fellow who has a pure heart towards all things can never be defeated by the enemy. He is a victor! Any unrighteousness that comes from the heart is sin, and sin is enmity with God. Don't let impure thoughts to come out of your mind. Ask God to give you a pure heart that yields to the works of the spirit. God Bless you.

CONTROL YOUR TONGUE:
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit of it -Prov18:21.
The tongue of man is very powerful. Just as it is used for blessing, it can also be used for cursing. No wonder many verses in the bible were used to pass warnings to us to control the way we use our tongue. Jesus Christ in all His liftime had control over his tongue. He avoided negative words. As seen in Jonn 11:11, Jesus knowing that Lazarus was dead said "Our friend Lazarus sleeps but i go that i may wake him up." He could have said it plainly that ' our friend Lazarus is dead', but He knew the commanding power of the tongue of man, instead He spoke positive words. As a believer, always watch the way you use your tongue. Whenever you are angry, avoid using swear words! When your child misbehaves, watch your remarks! Whenever you mess things up, do not condemn yourself! The enemy is right beside you in order to use whatever you say against you. "Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit" -Pslm 34:13. If you want to know how effective your tongue is, ask Isaac (Gen27:27-29) and the mother of Jabez (1Chro4:9)! After king Saul had killed himself, an Amalekite came to David to report the death of King Saul and lied that he was the one that killed him, hoping to receive a reward from David. Unexpectedly, David replied in 2Sam1:14 "And David said unto him, how wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the Lord's anointed". David then ordered his servants to kill the man. The Amalekite's tongue was fast to destroy him because of his evil desires. The power of your tongue can grant approval to the negative things you say about your self. Learn to control your tongue. God bless you.

BE LIKE STEPHEN:
And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a Proselyte from Antioch -Acts 6:5.
Stephen was one of the seven deacons chosen by the desciples for the work of God. He was described in the bible as one full of wisdom, faith, power and the Holy Spirit. This shows the level of fellowship he has with the Father. The more you allow God to fully take control of your life, the more of His anointing you will receive. Many who have been in Christ for so long are still lacking spiritually. No wonder the enemies keep visiting them in the dream and waging battle against thier lives. Though they believe in Christ but they have cut off the presence of God in thier lives through sin and disobedience. Even after he was falsely accused of blasphemy and brought to the council, he used that opportunity to enlighten the people about Jesus Christ whom they have crucified. He did'nt argue with them about the matter, but he stood with boldness and preached Jesus Christ. Unlike believers of this recent world, after facing little challenges or trials we start arguing with God. Instead of looking for ways to handle that situation, we throw ourselves into arguement. When ever you face any persecution, always be bold and calm and be friendly. Through that you might win the heart of that fellow who persecuted you. Have a forgiving spirit. "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you"-Matt 5:44. Stephen, even in the face of death, prayed for his enemies. Many would instead curse thier enemies and also pray that God should kill them. N-O, NO! Remember the word of Jesus Christ in the verse above. He said we should bless them so that God might glory in us. You can be like the deacon Stephen! God bless you.
