This question was thrown to me by a female friend, and i wouldn't mind clear thinkers on this forum, educating me on this.

Here is the question: Which statement is correct here please?
A bright future behind her, or a bright future ahead of her?

I chose; "Bright future ahead" which she kicked under the table, telling me since no one can predict the future, the word is incorrect in usage.

Now, the reason why i chose that one in particular was;

1. Since life is unpredictable. It is of 50/50 bet/chances. It's either you achieve your cooked plans or you don't.

2. The word "bright future ahead" seem to me like a PLAN, going in the affirmative, but not yet manifested. So its 50/50 chances. It MIGHT manifest.

Let me stop here for senior men to help me out cool

but am going for 'A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD', because if she says 'behind her',it means she has lived it already, but can the future be in the past? No

Lmao, i just had to go true his posts now... The guy is something else..and it seems he does that mostly on celebrity threads...he deserves it jare, infact more than that *pours cartarrh on thread*

@OP, you might want to know that most times when people say "she's got a bright future behind her", they're actually referring to a lady's backside.
