Poly + ticks = Many blood sucking animals. Even if I hear tomorrow that Tinubu defects to PDP or Jonathan defects to APC, I can't be really surprised. |

In as much as I welcome any development that will lead to voting out PDP/GEJ in the next election, I believe it will be better for our democracy if it's extremely difficult for politicians to defect from one party to another. Can't INEC have a law that disallows any card-carrying memeber of one party from defecting to another if: 1. An election is less than one year from the intended defection; or 2. The party member has not spent a certain number of years in that party? Honestly, it's too easy to defect from one party to another and it is killing us big time. 1 Like |

pendy79:In the atmosphere of nigeria politics your points do not hold any water. Bitterness, hatred and sectionalism remain the hardcore drive of the actions of Tambuwal and their likes especially as it relate to our political history. As if they will even offer Nigerians any thing new. As long as the nigeria records are concern, we must as a matter of justice, correct and balance the injustices of the past.Nobody or group have monopoly of power. The country belong to every section of this country. Give peace and common sense a chance in Nigeria. |

Bliss4Lyfe: Politics is not religion; even in religion there is no compulsion. It's not disloyalty to disagree with your party or leader, it's simply politics. Let's not pretend that pdp is not ruining Nigeria and has been doing so for 15 years; let's not pretend that gej is the solution, has the solution, or is capable of providing the solution to all our problems. Painting over airport buildings is not progress, it's still a coat of paint on the surface. Neither is winning a football trophy, nor waxing lyrical about a supposed transformation that exists only in the virtual reality of PDP/TAN. Development is not random statistics okonjo eweala pulls out of her a55. Transformation and development is what is going on in China, India, Singapore, Malaysia. . . Even lowly Kenya. Transformation and development are tangible, feelable, real. . . not something amorphous and invisible only a select few see in their pockets. By all indices gej isn't just failing; he has failed. Young people are still without jobs, electricity is still woeful, security is collapsed, health care is still comatose, corruption permeates every pore, and our international image is never this awful since the days of abacha. As such, anyone who feels a sense of loyalty to pdp is just being loyalty to their selfish interests. No one, not even in the US, is blindly tied to inviolable party loyalty; democrats do disagree with Obama too. Oh, and you contradict yourself: tafawa balewa is a northerner. |

The guy is just playing smart, trying to make himself available everywhere. He is just doing whatever he could for want of and retention of power! He has given enough grace to the confused Southern bully to continue in the dirty habits against themselves while he is sure of where he is going making use of cheap labourers like some are doing here. |
