Lawmakers in the Ekiti State House of Assembly have dismissed recent allegations making the rounds that 19 lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have received the sum of 50million naira each and the Speaker, 100million naira to impeach the State Governor, Ayo Fayose. The Majority Leader of the House, Churchill Adedipe, in a press conference in Ado Ekiti, said that the House have no plans of impeaching the Governor. He added that in the interest of peace and the people of the state, they were ready to work with the new administration. A PDP lawmaker in the state, Samuel Ajibola, during an interview, had confirmed that the 19 members of the APC had indeed received the sum of 50million Naira bribe from the former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, to impeach Governor Ayodele Fayose. www.dailytimes.com.ng/article/tinubu-did-not-give-ekiti-lawmakers-n50m-impeach-fayose-majority-leader |
