The Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command, arrested twenty seven women including a male teenager in the Lagos Mainland on Thursday .The suspects are no Nigerian citizens but were nationals of Benin Republic, Ghana and Togo .

The suspects were not having any valid entry passport or visa, and would be repatriated as soon as the agency concluded all necessary investigation.A few of the women were nursing mothers who had their babies firmly strapped to their backs.

Some of the them kept mute when they were being interviewed,among them was a 55 year woman who identified herself as Mrs Oluwaseun Joseph, from Cotonou, Benin Republic, busted in tears as she pleaded for time to get her documents.

Some other suspects said they never realised the importance of their passport or visa,
15 year-old Ishay Befaye said he had been in Lagos for only one month.He said he came to Lagos on his own to find greener pastures while his mother stays in Benin Republic. He said he feeds himself with his bricklaying work.

He further said he has a bank account,he told Police men that he love Nigeria and he wouldn't want to leave forever and he kept begging them to give him some time to get his papers.
