OMISORE WITHDRAWS CASE
SEEKING TO ANNUL 2011
Election into the state House of
Assembly, House of
Representatives and Senate in
the State of Osun.
Osun PDP today in a step
reminiscent of confused
persons withdraw a case
seeking to declare null the
election conducted in 2011 by
Ambassador Akeju, the
Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State of Osun at the Federal
High Court Osogbo. The withdrawal was done by a motion dated 15th
day of October, 2014 signed by Kehinde Adesiyan Esq of Kehinde
Adesiyan &co.
You will recollect that the PDP prior to 2011 Election approached the
Federal High Court Osogbo for an injunction restraining the REC from
supervising the conduct of the election which injunction was granted
but appealed against by INEC at the Court of Appeal, Akure.
About 3 weeks ago, news were awash in the media about a phantom
judgment from the Court of Appeal Akure where the PDP claimed that
all the Legislatures in the state as well as those elected to represent Osun
at the House of Representatives and Senate had been sent parking by
virtue of Akure judgment declaring their election null and void.
The APC at that time informed the general public that what happened at
the Court of Appeal was mere striking out of the Notice of Appeal and
that the substantive case is still at the Federal High Court. With the
withdrawal of the case today at the Federal High Court Osogbo, all the
orchestrated lies about annulment of election into the State House of
Assembly, House of Reps and Senate is now history.
This decision by Omisore’s PDP to withdraw this case has further shown

of pursuing any case to its logical conclusion.

His Guguru and roasted corn business has been on a downward spiral since his stumping at the polls. He needs to put in more time to salvage situation, hence his decision to withdraw the case.
