Hello good people, the D4 light on my Acura TL 03 model won't stop blinking and the speed is seriously impacted. Any suggestions or referrals? Thanks in advance. |

Run A scan on your vehicle using an OBD II Scanner and lets know what the DTC (Data Trouble Code)is.... |

Best you stop driving the car, until vehicle is scanned and faulty code(s) retrieved and possibly fixed. Or your next budget, would be buying another gearbox !!!! |

Please stop driving until you get the car scan. You can get ELM327 Obd ii dongle, with you android phone you can scan it. |

kunleeko:yes you can buy an OBD II Scanner for about 12-15k or have someone do this for you, where is your car? |

The blinking D on an Acura means there is a transmission code stored in your computer and there is an issue with the transmission. The mechanic you are using will not see the code if he is using a regular scanner. You need an advanced scanner like the Launch X431 to point you in the right direction. AutosBay: Wrong. The blinking D does not necessarily denote a tranny issue. I scanned the vehicle for the said owner. It was a power problem. His alternator was bad and vehicle was running on battery only. We replaced the alternator, and fuse and D stopped blinking. Car is now in superb condition. P.s a small scanner as Ms609 can do d magic. |
