The devil in me You know me Though I know you not In my heart you have a spot The devil in me whispering and chanting words that are never spoken Leaving my mouth wide open The devil in me Comes out in times of anger, Frustration and strain In your presence I feel no pain The devil in me why do you torture me this way but somehow I want you to stay The devil in me you plot evil and you scheme Pushing me to build up steam The devil in me An enemy and yet a friend Beyond my imagination you transcend The devil in me exists with us all The devil within us is our downfall |
