In the 80s Idiagbon and Buhari ruffled many feathers and threw many into jail but till Idiagbon died, no one will come near him and talk about revenge because despite their hard hitting method, they fought corruption without any fear of favour to anyone. They did not fight corruption in one hand and othe other hand coveting material possession for themselves.

You need only to be blind or deaf not to have noticed that Ribadu was an impartial judge, he went after politican some corrupt people alright, but only those handpicked by OBJ and those with political ambitions that threatened OBJ's agenda. Ask him about OBJ's right hand men like Bode George, Aneni, he will be asking you to produce the evidence.

Ribadu spent the whole of 2006 trying to stop Atiku from running for the president but allowed the likes of Gov Nnamani, Gov Turaki a free hand to become a senators only for a medicine after death arrest them just to show off but no one is fooled.

How many Americans, except if you are politcally enlightened knew the head of FBI? With Ribadu, it was him first and EFCC as an institution second. He spent so much time abroad giving useless lecture and conferences, self promoting himself, instead of buidling a lasting institution in EFCC that will outlive his tenure as it's head. How can you feel sorry for him? When the same people messing him up now are the same people he helped through his onesided fight against corruption to put into power?
If not for the supreme court, Andy Uba would now be running Anambra state thanks to Ribadu, when he was banning anything that moves in Anambra state order to make things easier for Andy Uba and his co travellers.

Thanks to him Aloa Akala is a governor today and so many other cases because he was busy asking for for corruption evidence against Adedibu and Akala, like asking for evidence that a fish had been in the water ever.

Your post has alot of loopholes.  most of the people that were tried if you look very well were from OBJ own party the PDP. I have been looking for the exact group of people that ribadu was told to hunt. can you help me?

Say what you like ribadu was OFFERED 15 million dollars to be corrupt he turned it down! go to the USA you are talking about, some of the FBI operatives are very corrupt. Go and look at the governors that were dealt with by Ribadu and check their Party.

If he was used to fight corrupt people what is wrong with that ? wether it was selective or not? and what is the basis that it was selective. If 2 people stole money and one was caught and jailed. The other that was caught but not jailed can be recaught another day and jailed.

I don't know what Nigerians want. Ribadu fought tooth and Nail agaisnt corruption but a lot of people are here today talking nonesense. What has Okiro done for Nigeria even as the AIG of police that we can applaud? Ribadu caught Tafa Balogun and brought him to books despite the corrupt govt seeking a soft landing for him which party did he belong to? Ribadu brought down Alams of my state? which party was he? Dariye faced the music, which party, Babangida would have put on the BABARIGA again as naija's president but thanks to Ribadu, his attempts were nipped in the bud. If Ribadu had not acted the way he did, he would have not recorded the few succesess he had. we were removed from the list of corrupt nations who were doin nothin to fight corruption, our rankings improved, many nigerians now had reps outside our shores thanks to Ribadu. Our debts were forgiven, even if Naija people stop recognizing his efforts, foreigners do. It only proves that Prophets are not recognised intheir villages''


Nomatter wat you would like to say, This guy has done more for us as a nation and desrves better. The president might not be doin anything about his present travails becos anticorruption is not one of his seven point agendas. I would like to quote Nuhu's comment in an Interview one time on AIT "We wre not looking for sainrts to run the nation Nigeria, but people that would never again plough down our common wealth and loot our treasury as their personal birthrights''

PLEASE, whats all the noise about what Ribadu is going through? Nemesis is simply at work: where is everybody when Ribadu impeached a sitting governor with 6 legislators, when he brought a former police IG in handcuffs to the court, when he detained people for weeks, months and in some cases for years without a valid court order, when he refused to treat bode george like the rest of us mortals, when he flagrantly sold seized properties to the lowest bidders, when he hid petitions on lucky igbenedion and refused to deal with him, i can go on and on, what he forgot is that POWER is transient and that CHANGE is the only thing in this world that is permanent. I dont think he deserves all this attention, you can never RIGHT perceived WRONGS by a string of illegalities which is what Ribadu's tenure represent at EFCC, no tears for him!

The actions meted out on ribadu so far signifies a bad precedence for all right thinking individuals in nigeria who ordinarily have opted to stand up for doing things the right way.
It becomes rather fearful in this case as this persecution started when he left the office.No protection is being given to him.In fact may God help us.

Please someone said something about the former IG, what IG? Tafa? Tafa OLE!!,OLE!!,OLE!!. Please do not blame Ribadu for Tafa's case Tafa was nothing but OLE!!!
