1994 Toyota Pickup truck has rust on the frame near the back of the cab on both passenger and drivers side. There is a repair on the passenger outer side of the frame, but the inside is now rotting, and there is about 1inch diameter hole where it has rusted through. Is this something that a body shop could repair? Also, I know about the "campaign" to replace or repair 95-00 tacomas because of the frame rot, and called the dealer today. They didnt mention anything about me having to pay for a repair if the truck frame is rusted. I dont know if they are including 1994 pickups in this campaign. I doubt your truck will be covered. It is a specialist repair, ideally it would be best to pull the cab and bed. The frame steel is quite thick, a regular body welder won't do. It would help if you posted some pictures of the rot. I forgot to ask - where are you located? |

Sorry to derail the Hop's thread. Just needed Siena and Gazzuzz attention. What's the implication of replacing a Honda Accord 2005 tyres with an 18inch wheel and a low-profile tyres? It came with a 16" and regular tyres. I have read sometimes long ago where Siena was doing a lecture on replacing wheel and tyres. Just couldn't locate the thread again. Awaiting your reply sirs!! RoyalRoy: Your Honda Accord would have come with 205/55x16 on 7"x16" wheels. You can replace the wheel and tyre combination, stepping up to 18's. New wheel size: 8"x18". New tyre size: 225/40x18. Ride height will remain the same at 0.8% diameter difference. |
