Former stars of the 'Challenge Cup' now known as the Federation Cup, are set to be honoured at this years finals.According to Lagos State Commissioner for sports; Waidi Enitan Oshodi, 13 former stars who have contributed immensely to the competition in the past, will be awarded by the state at the finals slated for the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Sunday 23rd of November 2014.



Oshodi stated that the likes of Aloysius Atuegbu, Ogidi Ibeabuchi, Ayo Ositelu and Sunday Dankoro are to be recognised post homousely while the likes of George Hassan, Yomi Peters, Peter Fregene, Pa Herbert Omokhaye, Kadiri Ikhana, Henry Ogboe, Festus Bolaji Okubule, Jonathan Nwaiwu and Peter Aneke are expected to be present at the finals for their awards.

This year’s finals pitches the defending champions; Enyimba Football Club against Dolphins Football Club in the male category while in the female category, defending champions; Rivers Angels will slug it out against Sunshine Queens..com
