FINALLY, DR. JONATHAN DECLARES TO RUN
Could We Now Hope The Bombings Would Stop?

After 3 years of mutually belligerent sentiments: of defections/redemptions, speculations/consultations AND after weeks of hate/hyperbole, rant/reason, court challenges/conspiracy theories and ONE MORE bombing slaughter of about 50 students of Government Comprehensive Senior Science Secondary School, Potiskum, Yobe State, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was finally allowed to tell Nigerians, (as Gen. Buhari, Gov. Kwankwaso, Alhaji Atiku already told us), that he will seek the office of President of Nigeria, for 2015-2019.

THUS, STAGE 1 OF 5 STAGES OF 2015 DEMOCRACY DRAMA

(1) It is up to Nigerians -- and Nigerians only -- to decide whether or not Dr. Jonathan should have a second four year term in office.
(2) It is up to party PDP -- and PDP only -- to decide whether or not Dr. Jonathan is primaried or can run for President unopposed.
(3) It is the Nigerian Constitution that sets eligibility and -- by every objective interpretation of its letters and spirit -- the Constitution shows indisputably that Dr. Jonathan is eligible to run for reelection.

NOW THAT JONATHAN HAS DECLARED:

(4): it is up to party APC --and APC only -- to determine if Nigerians will have a real choice between two different governing philosophies. APC leaders can give themselves a chance -- and Nigerians a choice -- by simplifying their manifesto, articulating their own solutions to the needs of Nigerians and setting out their vision for Nigeria's future. Otherwise this election will continue in its current farce or buffoonery of mud-slinging gossips, manufactured scandals, juvenile insults, religious rage and naked opportunism filled with such deep-seated hatred that opposition leaders abandon reason and cheer terrorists to the edges of treason.
