UPDATE!!!!

Due to the fluid accumulation in Hamed, he had to be drained and after draining him, from physical examination his liver was found to be okay and might not need a biopsy so CT scan and an Ultra sound scan was done between Monday and today.

These results and also results for the blood work showed his liver is okay and hence the biopsy will not be necessary.

However, a growth is still present in his abdomen so an endoscopy will have to be done on him so as to be sure what exactly is causing the growth inside him and hence solutions can be proffered.

This will be done on Friday and Monday (From different directions).

I have been following this thread silently and codedly and have also contributed my own quota to help DJ come out of what he is going through right now. Also i must say, you guys have given me hope of a better Nigeria with so much love and passion going on here. I am so impressed and had a little tear from my eyes that truely, we can make a better place in the world with so much love from everyone of us here.

I also want to state this fact and make it known to every one visiting Nairaland. This Thread seems to have an AURA OF MIRACLE. Through this thread, i said a little prayer for someone dare to my heart and with the prayers here which i have tapped from and used it as a point of contact to pray for my loved one, he is back on his feet again. This places seems to be a NAIRALAND MIRACLE CENTRE. seeing people pray for each other, declaring healing and prayer points on fellow nairalanders with a hearty word of faith.......I must say, i am so moved and i pray that God will heal and make whole any of our relatives, friends, even down to our individual challenges in jesus name.

If you lose faith then you lose hope. Why should you lose faith in God because of man? Is your wife really suffering from a terminal illness? ....is it that the sickness cannot be managed? Is this situation a test of your faith ? Bro....never let your faith in God be shaken by the words of man. Pray to restore your faith and this dark cloud would soon pass.

UPDATE!!!!

Hello all, Hamed was supposed to have a biopsy done last monday but it could not have been done before the fluid which has accumulated in him was drained.

After draining, it was discovered (through both physical and scans) that there was a tender mass across his transverse colon which prompted a colonoscopy.

The colonoscopy was not helpful as it just indicated a slight narrowing of the transverse colon, this leads to suspicion that the mass is actually on the surface of the transverse colon hence a laparoscopy is being scheduled for this week.

The biopsy has been called off(for now) as his liver seems to be okay. We urge you to keep praying for Hamed though.
