Politics / We’ll Impeach Saraki — Senate Leader by 19Ebisco: 5:42pm On Oct 08, 2018
Senate Majority Leader, Ahmed Lawan, has assured the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and President Muhammadu Buhari, that the party’s senate caucus will impeach Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, when lawmakers reconvene.

Senator Lawan said this during the APC Presidential Convention, which held at the Eagle Square, in Abuja, at the weekend.

The national convention ratified Buhari’s candidacy as the flag-bearer of the ruling party in the 2019 presidential election.

There, Lawan said, the APC senate caucus intends ‘to force through lots of things.’

He, however, made a passionate appeal to the Presidency and the APC national leadership to intervene in the challenges some of the National Assembly members are facing; to scale the APC primaries in their respective states. He specifically asked for the national leadership’s mediation.

Similarly, Deputy Speaker, Yusuff Lasun, in his remarks during the Presidential Convention, pledged the chambers loyalty to the presidency and the ruling party.

Although he was silent on the fate of Speaker Yakubu Dogara, when the House reconvenes, he, however, explicitly assured of the House’s loyalty to the party.

Politics / Primaries: Ondo, Lagos APC Jettison Automatic Ticket For Aspirants by 19Ebisco: 6:08am On Oct 08, 2018
The State Executive Council (SEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has revoked the automatic tickets granted Senators Ajayi Borrofice (North), Yele Omogunwa (South) and Tayo Alasoadura (Central) in State. The decision to revoke the automatic tickets followed the step taken by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to reject automatic tickets for candidates contesting offices in the party. The party made its position known in a statement personally signed by the State Chairman of the party, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, Publicity Secretary Alex Kalejaiye, all the Deputy Chairmen representing the three senatorial districts of the state.

It would be recalled that the Lagos state chapter of the party had earlier revoked the automatic tickets granted some candidates after the NWC found fault with the process which it said was at variance with the constitutional provision of the party. The national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said the party’s decision is final and that the party believes in the voice of the majority.

Following suit, Ondo State APC had also conducted elections into the three Senatorial Districts in the State with Dr. Tunji Abayomi (North), Senator Tayo Alasoadura (Central) and Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa(South) respectively, being the candidates who won with majority votes through primaries conducted last Friday. In the statement , the party said it has accepted and abided with the decision of the NWC of the party that only aspirants for seats at the Senate and House of Representatives who emerged through direct primaries conducted last Friday be recognised and upheld.

Speaking to newsmen Adetimehin said “There cannot and must not be double standards. Automatic ticket is alien to the party and the NWC in its wisdom has directed all state Chapters of the Party to run away from it by ensuring that Equity, Justice and Fairness is pursued with all muscles, in order to sustain and strengthen internal democracy for which the party is well reputed. “It cannot be otherwise. We cannot and must not set double standards lest the integrity and esteem of the party is impeached before the electorate”.

Also, the South West Chairman of the Party, Pastor Bankole Oluwajana and Senator Omotayo Alasoadura ,noted that the Provision of the constitution is sacred and the National Working Committee of the party has not and is not intending to indulge in Automatic tickets for candidates. Alasoadura who is a beneficiary of the automatic ticket had earlier led other aspirants out to decry the automatic ticket granted him and his colleagues, described it as “travesty of democracy which is capable of serious consequences for the Party”.

It will be recalled that President Mohammadu Buhari had earlier met behind close doors with the Chairman of the Party, Adams Oshiomole and some Governors elected on the platform of the party on same issue. Buhari, who is the leader of the party had directed that all aspirants be made to test their popularity with the party voters in an open and transparent primaries. According to the President, this is the only way the integrity and respect for the party and Change it preaches can have meaning to the electorate.

Politics / Why Govs El-rufai, Akeredolu Visited Buhari by 19Ebisco: 9:02pm On Oct 03, 2018
Governor Nasir El-Rufai and his Ondo State counterpart, Rotimi Akeredolu, on Wednesday visited the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that the visit of the two governors, who headed straight to the president’s office, may not be unconnected with the outcome of the All Progressives Congress primaries and screening exercise conducted by the party’s headquarters.

It would be recalled that Sen. Shehu Sani was the only aspirant cleared by the national headquarters of the APC to contest for the Kaduna Central Senatorial seat against the wish of the state governor, El-Rufai.

Prior to Sani’s clearance, the governor had endorsed his Political Adviser, Uba Sani, as sole candidate of the APC for the senatorial seat.

The governor had also insisted that party primary be held to determine the party’s flag-bearer in the 2019 Senatorial poll instead of the automatic endorsement of incumbent senator.

El-Rufai’s preferred candidate for the senatorial seat, Uba Sani, had since gone to court to stop Shehu Sani’s automatic endorsement by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC.

The APC Senate screening committee also cleared Sen. Ajayi Borrofice, as sole aspirant for Ondo North Senatorial seat against the wish of the state governor, who had wanted to dislodge him through a primary.

Politics / What Buhari, Security Agencies Will Do To Fayose When He Steps Down – PDP by 19Ebisco: 8:37am On Oct 02, 2018
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the South West zone, has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari was out to intimidate and harass the outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, when he finally leaves office.

The party said that from all indications, Buhari and security agencies were ready to victimise Fayose, after the expiration of his term as the state governor in a few weeks.

This was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the party’s stakeholders’ meeting in Ibadan yesterday.

The PDP further condemned the role of the Federal Government and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states.

At the meeting were Chief Olabode George; the national vice chairman (South-West), Eddy Olafeso; Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Olusola Eleka; Deputy Publicity Secretary of the party, Diran Odeyemi; and the Zonal Secretary, Bunmi Jenyo.

The communiqué read, “We take with a serious view the recent Osun State governorship election, and note sadly that it was grossly compromised, neither free nor fair but an outright stealing of PDP’s victory as given freely by the people of the state to our candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

“We declare our disappointment in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for his inability to preside over a nation where votes must count.

“We also give due cognisance to the earlier conducted Ekiti State election and the serious assault and battery of the state governor, Ayodele Fayose, the conduct of the election itself, the massive vote-buying that characterised it, the vote stealing and compromised posture of INEC, hence, reject the election result as it does not represent the electoral desire of the people.

“Therefore, we support our candidates in the two aforementioned elections in Osun and Ekiti states to take concrete legal actions to recover their mandates from the roguish APC that is now becoming notorious for election rigging.

“We also note that Governor Fayose’s tenure comes to an end in a couple of weeks from now. Therefore, we wish him well in his future endeavours. We, however, observe that the Buhari administration has clearly indicated its desire to intimidate and harass him.

“This attitude is cheap and very pedestrian. We declare our solidarity with Governor Fayose and promise to stand firm in his support in the event of the prosecution of petty vendetta against his person.”

Politics / Why We’ll Proceed With Oyo APC Guber Primary Despite Akintola’s Withdrawal – Par by 19Ebisco: 10:33pm On Sep 30, 2018
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Adeniyi Akintola SAN, Sunday evening announced that he has stepped down from the ongoing gubernatorial primary election of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state.

DAILY POST reports that the election is currently taking place at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan, the state capital.

Our correspondent recalls that former governor of the state, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala had yesterday announced his withdrawal from the race due to alleged imposition of a certain candidate by the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi. Another aspirant, Dr. Abdulazeez Adeduntan also announced his withdrawal from the race without giving a reason.

The trio of Engineer Joseph Tegbe, Dr. Olusola Ayandele and Dr. Owolabi Babalola later announced that they were stepping down in the interest of the party and the governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

They argued that they were stepping down for Adelabu in order to ensure unity and harmony in the ruling party in the state.

This made the contest to be between Adelabu and Chief Adeniyi Akintola SAN, who said he was not ready to step down.

However, delegates, members of electoral committee headed by Mr. Demola Seriki, a chieftain of the party from Lagos State, journalists and observers were later surprised when Akintola announced his withdrawal midway into the election at about 6:50 Sunday evening.

His announcement was greeted with wild jubilation by delegates and party supporters.

Akintola, while speaking, also announced that he was stepping down in the interest of the party.

Inquisitive journalists were surprised when the state Chairman of the party, Chief Akin Oke told them that the winner would not be declared until the completion of the exercise.

Oke said that the winner would not be announced until the exercise came to an end because of two reasons.

He maintained that one of the reasons is that Akintola announced his withdrawal midway into the election which has already started, adding that it would be difficult to stop the process abruptly.

Oke added that the number two reason is that the former governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala did not withdraw officially, adding that announcement of the winner without the completion of the exercise may spell doom for the party.

Oke, who addressed the journalists at about 7.30pm, said, “Yes, Akintola has withdrawn. But, as you can see, we have already started the process. We are already in the process and we have to complete it. If he had withdraw before the exercise started, that is another thing. But, he did not withdraw before we started.

“Secondly, you know Alao-Akala said he will not participate, but he did not withdraw officially, we have not seen his letter. So, we have to go ahead with the process that we have already started before we announce the winner. Because, we don’t want anyone to take us to court.”

The exercise is still going on at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan at about 8:17pm when our correspondent filed this report.

Politics / N7.65b Fraud: CACOL Blows Hot Over Indefinite Adjournment Of Orji Kalu’s Trial by 19Ebisco: 7:42pm On Sep 28, 2018
The Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership, CACOL, has condemned the indefinite adjournment of the trial of former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu by a Federal High Court Justice sitting in Lagos.

The group said Kalu must not escape trial because he joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, adding that there was a hidden agenda to ensure the former governor was given soft landing.

CACOL said this in a statement made available to DAILY POST by its Media and Publications Officer, Ikenna Aghagbobi, on behalf of the Centre’s Executive Chairman, Debo Adeniran on Friday.

CACOL said, “We recall our recent demand for a speedy trial of the former Governor’s N7.65b fraud case, which has already lasted over 11 years. This new development has confirmed our fears that indeed there may be a hidden agenda to ensure the former Governor escapes the long arm of the law especially because he has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“We recall that despite the gravity of the charges levelled against him, Kalu was recently granted permission to travel abroad for medical attention while other corruption suspects facing lighter charges were denied the same privilege.

“It has also been observed that Orji Kalu and his team of lawyers long ago mastered the act of frustrating the judicial system through the application of various schemes and antics to ensure that his case gets stalled or forgotten since they do not have enough evidence to debunk the fraud allegations”.

“We suspect that since the Judge presiding over Kalu’s case was recently elevated to the Court of Appeal, the matter might get stalled till a new judge is appointed. Even when a new judge is appointed, he must start the case afresh thereby further elongating the duration this case has lasted. There is no doubt that this would end up further ridiculing the judiciary”.

“Our prayer is that the case must not be transferred to a new judge but instead left with Justice Muhammed Idris even as a judge of the appellate court.

“We, therefore, demand that the EFCC’s prosecution counsel applies for a fresh fiat to enable Justice Idris conclude this controversial case which is about to drag on without end.”

Politics / Osun Rerun: You Are An Uninformed Political Novice – APC Fires Davido by 19Ebisco: 10:13am On Sep 27, 2018
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in the United Kingdom has slammed Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, also known as Davido for raising the alarm over an alleged plans by the party to rig today’s Osun State governorship rerun election.

Davido yesterday had claimed via tweet that the: “APC already planning to rig tomorrow’s (today) rerun! Enough is Enough man! They’re ready to do ANYTHING AND I MEAN ANYTHING TO STAY IN POWER AND SUFFER THE OSUN PEOPLE FOR ANOTHER 4 YEARS! PLEASE SHARE! @inecnigeria @USEmbassyAbuja @OfficialPDPNig”

The musician, who has been a strong member of the campaign team of Ademola Adeleke, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the governorship election, also shared a sheet, which listed the total number of registered voters in the polling units where the rerun will take place today, saying there was an uncovered plot by APC to rig the return with 812 votes

But in a counter-tweet, the APC UK described Davido as an uninformed political novice whose ‘pay grade’ was lower than the issues at stake; hence, should be ignored by the public.

Retweeting Davido’s post, the APC UK wrote on its verified Twitter handle: “Fellow Nigerians.

“Please IGNORE the #FakeNews below from the political novice. He’s uninformed and too inexperienced to dabble into such issues. The issue at hand is way above and beyond his ‘pay grade’.

Politics / Osun Rerun: Why Adeleke Can’t Win Election Even With Omisore’s Support – APC by 19Ebisco: 9:49am On Sep 26, 2018
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and its candidate, Ademola Adeleke, would still lose the rerun of the governorship election in Osun even if they get the support of the Social Democratic Party, SDP candidate, Iyiola Omisore.

APC said the opposition party was battling to get Omisore’s support because it was clear to them that Adeleke cannot win on the popular vote.

In a statement on Tuesday by the Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy of the APC in Osun State, Kunle Oyatomi, the party said Adeleke was the least educated and qualified candidate.

The statement reads, “They know that the PDP candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, can’t win on the popular votes.

“First, he is the least educated and qualified candidate Osun has ever raised in its history of the political contest.

“The fraud that brought him to this level (manipulation of card readers and purchase of PVC of ill-informed voters) that we are now discussing him as a potential governor, marks us as essentially an illiterate and backward democracy.”

Politics / Osun Election: Saraki Reacts, Blasts INEC For Declaring Poll Inconclusive by 19Ebisco: 9:01pm On Sep 23, 2018
President of the Senate and Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Council on Osun State Gubernatorial Election, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has faulted the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that the election results were inconclusive.

Saraki, in a statement personally signed, expressed dismay over the decision by INEC to declare as “inconclusive” an election in which a candidate won the highest number of votes and fulfilled the condition for geographical spread.

“In my lay man’s opinion, the INEC was wrong in declaring the election as inconclusive because the votes in certain polling units were cancelled. The decision of INEC to cancel the election in those areas after voting had taken place means INEC had already excluded the votes in these areas from the election process and therefore those units should have no place in the overall results. My opinion would have been different if the election in the affected units did not take place at all, maybe as a result of malfunctioning of the card reader machine or unavailability of the electoral materials. Since the voting took place and was cancelled, only the courts could reverse the initial decision by INEC to cancel the votes in these areas.

“That is why I call on our party and its candidate to seek further legal interpretation on this decision by the electoral body. One cannot but wonder whether if the places were reversed and the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is the one leading in the election; the INEC will take the same decision it has taken now.

“At this point, it is necessary to also call on INEC to display courage, boldness, independence, neutrality and patriotism so as to send signals to the world at large that Nigerian electoral system has come of age and that our democracy has matured. The electoral body needs to re-assure all and sundry that the 2019 election and other elections will be free of manipulations and undue interference.

“The INEC should note that the Osun gubernatorial election is not only about that South-western state. It is about our country and the entire world is watching. Our national interest is at stake. The integrity of our electoral system is at stake. The reputation of the electoral body is at stake. The future of our democracy is on the line. The way INEC conclusively handles the Osun election will determine global expectations from our political process. It should, therefore, ensure that the wishes of the Osun State electorate eventually prevail.

“I praise the dedication and hard work of PDP supporters and the candidate of the party, Senator Ademola Adeleke. They have remained steadfast, resilient, focused and determined.

“Let me also commend all the other contestants in yesterday’s election for their gallant efforts because it is clear they are all working for the same objective from different perspectives and platforms to ensure that the era of misgovernance, pain, injustice and insensitivity to the plight of the common people comes to an end. It is our hope that they will all co-operate with Senator Adeleke to ensure that Osun State witnesses a development-oriented era.

“Let me remind our party supporters and the good people of Osun State that this INEC decision constitutes only a delay of the victory of Senator Ademola Adeleke and the PDP in Osun Gubernatorial election, as our triumph will come either through the judiciary or a further balloting.

“I thank PDP supporters and the general public in Osun State and note that we got to this point after many months of hard work, determination and focus. We should not despair and not lose our focus and determination to ensure that the final results reflect the will of the Osun people.

“Our party is ahead, despite the irregularities. Our people must remain resilient to see this through to the finish. Now is the time to re-strategize, reach out to all the other candidates and their supporters, build on our lead, and bring this election home.

“Our supporters and the entire people of Osun State should remain calm and maintain peace as we move forward to see the successful completion of the electoral process.

“Once again, I thank all supporters of the PDP and the people of Osun State who stayed up all night, both physically and on social media to monitor the numbers and protect our votes. We remain undeterred, and we all remain determined to ensure that Senator Ademola Adeleke becomes the next Governor of Osun State,” Saraki stated.

Politics / Omokri Reveals Why Nigerian Soldiers Are Being Killed By Boko Haram by 19Ebisco: 7:23pm On Sep 18, 2018
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has blamed the recent killings of Nigerian soldiers by Boko Haram on the acclaimed defeat of the sect by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Omokri, the claim that Boko Haram has been defeated made soldiers to relax and feel calm about the threat the sect poses.

He made this known in reaction to the death of Miss Saifura Hussaini Khorsa who was killed by the sect.

Taking to Twitter, Omokri wrote:

“President Buhari and the Chief of Army Staff should stop saying that Boko Haram is “technically defeated” or “degraded”. It is untrue.

“It also gives a false sense of security to our troops, making them drop their guard. That’s why so many soldiers have died recently.”

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Monday had described the killing of the aid worker by Boko Haram sect as heinous and despicable.

He assured that his administration would seize, “Every given opportunity, with both hands and to use all means available to bring home all citizens being held against their will by the Boko Haram terrorist.”

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris has directed that the court summons against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, in relation to the ongoing investigation into the April 5, 2018 bank robbery incident in Offa, Kwara State, be served on him.

The IGP has asked a unit within the Nigeria Police Force’s Legal Department, Force headquarters, Abuja to ensure the prompt delivery of the court processes on Saraki before the next date, October 3 2018.

On Monday, at the Grade 1 Area Court, Aco Estate, Lugbe, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, a lawyer, E. S. Marcus conveyed the IGP’s directive at the resumed proceedings in a criminal complaint made against Saraki by an Abuja-based lawyer, Oluwatosin Ojaomo.

Ruling in the complaint marked: CR/196/2018, filed under Section 89(5) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015, Justice Abdullahi Garuba Ogbede had on September 10, ordered the issuance of summons on the IGP following Saraki’s absence in court.

The judge had summoned the IGP to attend court on September 17 to show cause why Saraki was absent in court and what efforts he had made to ensure his appearance.

On Monday, Marcus told the court that although the IGP and Saraki were absent in court, he was informed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the Legal Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, identified as Mahmoud that the IGP had directed a unit to ensure the delivery of all processes in relation to the case on Saraki.

He said, “The defendant is not in court. At the last date, the court issued a witness summons on the IGP to come and show cause why the police failed to effect service of the criminal summons, warrant of arrest and other processes on the defendant.

“The witness summons was served on the Nigeria Police Force by the court’s registry.

“However, we received a call from DSP Mahmoud of the Legal Department of the Nigeria Police Force headquarters, that the matter has been assigned by the IGP to a particular unit of the NPF to effect the service of the summons on the defendant and arrest him.”

Marcus urged the court to grant a short adjournment to enable the police effect service of the processes on the defendant.

“He came into the car, tore my clothes, pulled down a side of my bra and began caressing my bre@st. He thereafter started dragging down my shirt and I began begging him. I begged him until I had nothing else I could plead with. I begged him intensely for mercy and even told him that I was menstruating.

“It was as though all my pleas fail on deaf ears, I had to insert my hand into my v@gina just to show him. The blood I showed him prevented him from raping me. It was a terrible experience.

Politics / 2019: Why Buhari, APC Must Be Held Responsible If Anything Happens To Atiku, Oth by 19Ebisco: 9:23pm On Sep 15, 2018
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Saturday said the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government should be held responsible should anything happens to former Vice

President Abubakar Atiku or any its presidential aspirants ahead of the 2019 general elections.

PDP said this in reaction to the alleged threats to the life of the former Vice President, as well as similar threats and harassments of other presidential aspirants.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP said it does not take “these threats as a ruse and we demand an open inquest into all the issues raised by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in his petition to President Buhari.”

The statement reads, “It is a known fact that the APC has been on frenetic mode over the caliber and popularity of presidential aspirants arraying on our party platform.

“The APC knows that President Buhari is no match for any of our aspirants hence the resort to violence, harassment and death threats, with a view to frighten and put our presidential aspirants out of circulation ahead of the 2019 elections.

“Nigerians are already aware of how the APC-led Government has been using security and anti-corruption agencies, particularly the Police, Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to harass and hound presidential hopefuls and perceived political opponents of the President, as well as the members of our party on various trumped-up allegations and charges.

“The dysfunctional APC has become distraught by the resurge of Nigerians to our platform since the commencement of electioneering activities, while the APC national secretariat and its state offices have become deserted like graveyards.

“Rather than accepting the reality of their failures ahead of the 2019 elections, the APC has scaled up its proclivities for violence against the opposition.

“Only last week, the APC unleashed their thugs to attack our national secretariat with charms and dangerous weapons and attempted to disrupt our activities. This is in addition to series of other attacks on our members in various parts of the country by APC sponsored thugs.

“We want the APC to note that, in all, it is fighting a lost battle. The PDP family will never be cowed or intimidated by the evil machinations of the APC as we stand shoulder to shoulder with majority of Nigerians, across the board, in this national emergency of ending the misrule of the Buhari-led administration, which has caused so much harm to our dear nation.”

Boko Haram terrorists had invaded the troops’ location at Mobar Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday night which led to an overnight battle.

Chukwu said: “Seven members of the terrorists group were neutralised during the encounter while others fled into the nearby bush.

Efforts are on by the troops to get other fleeing members of the group.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara is set to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party.

This is as his Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro constituents have picked the nomination form for the Speaker to recontest for the seat come 2019 election under the PDP

The decision according Dogara’s aide, who did not want his name mentioned, followed exhaustive consultation among the constituents, especially bordering on the political feud between the Speaker and Governor Abubakar.

“Yes, I am telling you in confidence. Dogara is defecting to PDP in few hours, because already, the constituents have picked PDP nomination form on his behalf.

” We are waiting for him to sign after which his supporters will accompany him to submit it at the PDP national headquarters this night,” said the aide.

Politics / How I Became A Codeine And Weed Addict After Boko Haram Killed My Husband – Lady by 19Ebisco: 9:41am On Sep 12, 2018
A Nigerian lady has narrated the sad story of how her husband was murdered by Boko Haram terrorists. The experience turned her into a codeine and weed addict after indulging in it for consolation.

Narrating her story to Bits by Borno, she said:

”There were so many losses in my life. My father died. My husband was killed by Bokoharam. I was happily married and my husband was a driver.
He drove big trucks from Lagos to Maiduguri and provided everything for me. We were so happy. I have a daughter Khadijah who now lives with my mother.
When my husband was killed, I didn’t want to move in with her and her husband. I didn’t want to be the reason her marriage failed. Because I didn’t like the man she married after my father died.

So I went to live with my uncle. And you know when a house isn’t your home, you face so many things. I was mistreated badly in the house and my clothes were thrown out. His family kicked me out of their house. I didn’t know where to go or what to do.

And that was when I decided to move in with one of my friends and they introduced me to this lifestyle. I take about four bottles of codeine, I smoke weed and also swallow tablets. I don’t think too much when I take all of these. I feel happy”
