I downloaded playstore from mi store, then got every other Google apps from playstore... That's if you can't wait like me for 15 days to unlock bootloader, root ,install twrp, and flash gapp

Only challenge u may face is restoring ur contacts from Google if you had it backed up there b4, it's a small challenge , dou it took me time to figure out

The contacts thing is quite easy to fix, a few autostarts activation and battery saver deactivation here and there when you have the right google sync apps installed.

i was running a Chinese rom with lots of bloatware (ones that bricked my phone whenever I uninstalled with adb) so I can't be too sure but I think there's more battery juice now and it works smooth, like very smooth besides, the EU rom has the experimental Miui lab thingy and a few other personalization options I didn't notice on my friend's global rom.

Yes I did. Lost it during TWRP flashing too but I could have avoided that.

Also, has Xiaomi stopped the 720 hours thing and the filling of forms?, because I unlocked my bootloader almost immediately.

I won't indulge the urge to resort to internet savagery just to pass a simple message across, but I'll advise that next time, you ask politely for explanations on murky subjects or look away.

Unlocked my RN7 Chinese Variant's bootloader, Flashed TWRP and Magisk(all tonight), Now I'm downloading the Xiaomi EU Rom because I don't trust the other available custom ROMs especially since they're largely unofficial and usually buggy from experience.

I have just started my enjoyment of this beast and it feels good to be back in the rooting games, already itching for some Magisk modules.

G mornin, how is call clarity on the RN7 when using earpiece or headset??

So far I haven't noticed anything strange, but I have seen certain comments online complaining about the clarity and most others seem to disagree. Maybe it's a bug that a select few have, or it's a network issue?

My Redmi Note 7 just got an update that enables it to hide the notch at will or select individual apps, I was going to get the Mi 8 Lite for this very reason, I guess patience pays, a little forseeability too.

the kernel source code was just released last two weeks. Just chill development takes time. Have you tried out the EU rom?

I haven't, I'm not sure it's advisable flashing it based on the reviews I've been seeing. Besides, there's the issue of waiting an eternity before the bootloader is unlocked.

Any fellow RN7 users here. Got mine barely a week ago and also there's no major development yet save for the EU rom and the Gcam port. I'd like to see if anyone's been tinkering with their devices. I got the Blue Gradient and by Zeus this device is mad.
