Originakalokalo: Before june 17 2015,Nigeria will switch to digital transmission in compliance to the agreement reached with the rest of the world.

This means that all Nigerians must get a "service box" in order to watch even local channels.better video and audio quality are other benefit to come with the scheme.

Furthermore,once Nigeria switch off from analog to digital transmission,anybody who does not get the required hardware will not be able to watch anything;your TV will just become a rectangular box,regardless of the size or quality of your antenna.a typical example of a service box is the startime decoder that is on sale now.i am waiting for a broadcaster (like startime) that will air reasonable local channels such as AIT,channels,etc.i am sure that startimes does not air these. If you know anything related to this topic pls share.tanx.
