Nigeria is not blessed, she is cursed and she is in dire need of deliverance. If we were not cursed how can we act as if all is well and how can we be normal after 49 of our school children were bombed to death in one fell swoop.

This single outrageous and horrendous act is enough to traumatise most nations and most people for the next ten years, but not us. Most of us are indifferent: we shut it out and act as if it never happened.

We are a land that continues to dance, to make merry and to rejoice even as it's weakest and most vulnerable citizens are butchered and even when it's very own children are slaughtered like christmas turkeys and sallah rams. I see all this and I say shame on us all: from the highest to the lowest we have all failed. From the pauper to the prince and from the servant to the king we are all guilty.
We are a strange land of strange men and women. We are a land where the nepthalim hold sway. We are a land that enjoy to watch others suffer injustice, persecution and wickedness and where the youth would rather rant on facebook and twitter than risk their lives by marching on the streets and demanding change. In this country hundreds of our people are slaughtered in 100 different ways and abducted every week and there is no sense of panic or alarm.

There are no tears, there is no urgency, there is no passion, there is no anger, there are no demonstrations or demands for those that commit this evil to be brought to justice, there is no support for our security agents and military, there is no sense of national outrage and most important of all there is no genuine empathy or sympathy for the victims and casualties of terror even though most of them are women and children. It is just business as usual and our nation is flying on auto pilot. Let us hope and pray that we don't eventually go into free-fall and crash. - Femi Fani-Kayode

This is exactly the same things Femi and I talk about. Very insensitive Nigerians. We are saying Nigerians have become cursed, they don't even care anymore when our young ones are slaughtered, yet, you find this forum as the best place advertise Vincent Enyeama? This is just so irritating and insensitive to say the least!

Please what have we done to FFK in this country? After eating Nigeria's money, he will write lengthy articles to insult us as well. Is he not hanging out with Jonathan to tell him that protecting Nigerians is more important than preoccupying himself with reelections.

You were singing his praises when he was in APC, but now he's the devil personified.

Good points FFK. Now do you have possible solutions and way forward? When will you write it? Am sure Nigerians will be glad to read it and ponder on it!

Also, if you follow nairaland especially this section, you will notice that most or few the issues you raised are being discussed whether bitterly or sweetly.

The man didn't try to exonerate himself from blame. He said all have failed and he is right about it.
We are so inhuman that persistent death and crisis comes to our ears as mere figures. As if we have all become wild beast.
These days its so disheartening reading comments online of newspaper pages and here on nairaland.
Ignorant people think that at the division of Nigeria , their regions would transform to world power. How? With this same sad mentality ?
Read Ezekiel 22:23-31 and see how God views us, our leaders and clerics.

Yes we are cursed. So many things swept under d carpet and yet we do nothing but rant on nairaland. D chibok girls issue has come and gone. Its business as usual. I once thought of leading a nationwide revolution dat will cleanse us of our curse, sadly if I do so and am killed, it will still be business as usual. I await the event dat will wake nigerians up. We are definitely heading to a civil war. My prayer is that let our heroes don't die in vain. We need a change in this country. And only a civil war can bring it. Yes I said so. Call me an enemy of d state, I dnt care.--MCSHOL

Nigeria is cursed since 1967 till now, they killed all the innocent civilians in Biafra just because they said they want to go, the wicked shall not go unpunished, Law of karma. Our leaders are just deceiving us, they are interested only to enrich their families till the generations unborn. No one of them has the interest of the poor Nigeria in mind. Let the Igbos go, even if they become poor country but let them live in peace, then Nigeria will know peace
