OrlandoOwoh:And you think, "dog and baboon will be soaked in blood" does not mean making Nigeria ungovernable? "Dog and baboon soaked in blood" means there will be anarchy should baboon cheats the dog. In other words, the dog will fight dirty should it be defeated by the baboon. Are you following the interpretation? Forget about that face saving explanations that Buhari supporter is giving there. The supporter knows Buhari has goofed big time hence the frantic effort to save the party from embarrassment. We are Africans and very familiar with proverbs/idioms. |

I think Baba has spoken his mind as a patriotic citizen, indeed I respect Baba for the zeal he has to say openly that his Son has failed Nigerians. Above all, if President Jonathan is a failure I think baba should also see himself as a catastrophe political mentor. Chai! Baba Obasanjo you guys have sailed us to this muddy archorage the ship is about to wreck. If it wrecks Baba OBJ name will forever be a page in Nigeria history. Chai! Chai! Baba Obasanjo! 1 Like |

Yusluv77:I didn't want to comment but for your polarized post. I'm not Jonathan's fan but I feel it's right to deflate your bullae of ignorance. Perhaps you're childishly biased. 1. How much did OBJ meet the price of petrol in 1999? 11 Naira. He raised the price to 85 Naira but Late Yar'Adua brought it to 65Naira. This shows how bias your analysis is with poor sense of history. NO president in Nigeria history has increased the prices of petroleum products more frequently than OBJ. 2. You forgot/never knew that during OBJ, the Judiciary had no voice that was why PDP claimed almost all the South Western states until Yar'Adua came. 3. You also never knew that OBJ 'set aside' 16 billion dollars for rehabilitation of NEPA rather power situation became worst and no one (including you) could ask a question. When EFFC invited him for questioning after he left office, he said he had a family issue to settle until date. The helicopter which went to convey Lyel Imoke who was his minister of power then was said to have crashed into Cross River forest until today. 4. During OBJ, ATM was charging 100N. 5. Elections were worst during OBJ. 6. BH started during OBJ because he allowed introduction of Sharia which Nigeria never knew. 7. OBJ's greed prompted his move for 3rd term which Atiku his Vice strongly fought against and he suspended Atiku from his office. OBJ was a dictator. 8. OBJ had no respect for human lives or human right. He murdered thousands of people in Zaki-Biam and Odi for a crime they didn't commit and you're comparing that to fighting insurgency. 9. Roads and airports are better during GEJ'S regime unless you have never traveled around Nigeria. Get a history class first before embarking on this kind of adventure next time. 4 Likes |

I am very sure this OBJ deep inside his mind he knows too well that he would secretly support GEJ over GMB the reason being that if GMB should emerge the winner in 2015 he must cough out our N16B wasted on a futile power project. GEJ has been shielding him and others but with someone as ruthless as GMB he dare not stay and be opeing his vcal cords anyhow. They no born am well to make such statement under Abacha or GMB. No problem let 2015 come who no know go know. |

onatisi:You wan try Nigerians they are too quick to forget, don't blame them shaaa, they have forgotten how people que to buy fuel during obj's tenure most especially during December period is it the increase in fuel price? the strike action that lasted more than a year that made him to tell workers no "work no pay let's talk about the miracle they said he brought to us ( GSM madness) which in turn he used in drilling Nigerians dry. Do we talk abt some companies he sold ......Nitel no 1, Do we talk abt increase in school fees during those period or NEPA light that was not in existence then reason being that you hardly see light. davo3286: Infrastructural development and economic management are not the job of President. Obama, Putin, Chinese Premier don't know Jack about the economy. The economic program is actually owned by the rulling party who just use the presidential candidates name to brand it. The American economy is actually run by the Federal Reserve Board chairman and a collection of banks and almost secret gov t institutions. In Nigeria Okonjo Iweala, the CBN governor and a few foreign banks are running the economy. The main job of President is symbolizing our sovereignty, unity, stability, defending our territorial integrity, security, unity and because of our ideology, removing all impediments to foreign investment which includes fighting corruption. |

Am not a fan of GEJ but in terms of all the so-called roads, airport and all the number indices of development which we use in Nigeria, GEJ has done much better than his predecessors........his little interference in state elections has been far better than OBJs On a comparative scale GEJ is nigeria's most performing President but on an absolute scale I scre him 1/10 Security of lives and property is zero........countless nigerians have been massacared in the North and yet he can't sack BH with all the funds available GEJ has little regards for the Human life.....he plays politics with it........he lacks personal conviction on life generally, which shows in how he speaks.....no charisma....! GEJ has paid lip-service to corruption like OBJ and Yaradua.......no Gavernor or Minister has been convicted, ever Nigeria needs an industrial economic revolution but GEJ and his team lack the vision and will to make it happen.......all they can do is to build infrastructure to win votes of different sectors of the countiy In summary GEJ is abetter than others and his performance based on the wack indices are well above average BUT on an absolute scale his likes have no business in Governance not even on a counsellor level 1 Like |

The Presidency on Friday said a statement credited to Obasanjo that President Goodluck Jonathan’s performance is below average was “not true and in error.” Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, said this in a telephone interview withSATURDAY PUNCH. Okupe said if the statement indeed emanated from the former leader, it was the most uncharitable thing to say about the present administration which he said had achieved so much in various areas. “If indeed former President Obasanjo said that, that statement was in error because no government since independence has done close to 50 per cent of what this administration has done in less than four years,” Okupe said. He recalled that when Obasanjo was leaving office, the total power generation capacity in the country was about 2,600MW, claiming that the present administration had been able to raise the figure to about 4,000MW. Okupe also said the Jonathan administration inherited 24 airports that were in states of disrepair across the country at inception. He said all the airports had so far been refurbished by the present administration, therefore increasing the country’s reputation among comity of nations. The presidential aide also said the present administration inherited 10 moribund National Integrated Power Projects and went ahead to restore and commission them. He added that the Jonathan administration had succeeded in completely eradicating the rot and corruption met in the distribution of fertilisers in the agriculture sector. He also said the present administration made progress in road construction by making 70 per cent of road network motorable. Okupe also said many of the manufacturing industries that were moribund in 2011 have started work again. “These are just a few among the achievements of the present administration. So if that statement was indeed made, it is most uncharitable and it is not true,” |

Adminisher: My friend are you sure you understand what you're saying? Stop contradicting yourself? Look, so long as he has people (ministers, e.g Ngozi Okonjo Iweala) representing him in the economic management and infrastructural development and all other sectors, he is doing his job! The president don't need to run the economy himself directly That is why he has technocrats as ministers doing it on his behalf. So, my guy, are we both not saying thing here? |
Re: Jonathan’s Performance Below Average – Obasanjo by davo3286: 8:59am On Nov 23, 2014 |
Adminisher: Main job you said, but there are other jobs like economic management, infrastructural development, agriculture, education, etc. these jobs are executed by ministers who are working for the president therefore he is doing those jobs indirectly. You mention some main jobs e.g defending our territorial integrity, security. You don't expect the president to be on the streets, borders and waters defending us. That's why we have the police and military doing the job for him. So think well and gather your thoughts before you speak my guy. |

\ Fact: GEJ outperformed OBJ. Q.E.D The only thing GEJ lacks is the will (some call it balls) to take decisive action that will stand test of time. I term it lack of self-confidence. It is very apparent that GEJ never in his wildest imagination envisioned to be in the position he is today. He just wanted to be the "side-kick" that enjoys all the fringe benefits without rocking the boat. Thus, he never campaigned for any position. It even appears that he is still in shock to be referred to as "The President" His underlings noticed this a long time ago and are capitalizing on it. / |
