Those who have come to Christ have great inheritance which they never worked to earn. It's a free gift of God that comes with the salvation package. Many Christians do not know nor understand their right, privileges and inheritance in Christ. You are in Christ and whatever is of Christ becomes you inheritance by your virtue of being in Christ. The title of this thread was taken and will be explored from two scriptures: Acts 26:18 & 20:32. Your inheritance in Christ speaks of the part(s) of privileges and hereditary benefits which one will have in eternal salvation in Christ. These are the results of the finished works of Christ in our redemption. So, what are our inheritance in Christ?

1. Justification: We who are in Christ are declared righteous and justified. We weren't declared righteous by our good works but by faith in the finished works of Christ and by being in Christ. How shall we then think we can keep our justification by works? Our works (before justification) played no role in our justification, so also it doesn't play role in keeping our justification. Romans 3:24.

2. No Condemnation: There's no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1. Condemnation is against the finished works of redemption.

3. Sanctification: We are made holy and pure in Christ. Many people preach and teach holiness as a separate thing to be done but scripture teaches, we are holy and pure in Christ. That's our sanctification, we're set apart unto God. 1 Cor. 1:2, 30

4. Blessed in Christ: All spiritual blessings are deposited in us by being in Christ. Ephesians 1:3. Many Christians are still seeking blessings but don't know they're already blessed in Christ. Buying a new car, new house, acquiring good things etc is not the blessing but the result(s) of the already blessings that was available.

5. Forgiveness of sins: In Christ, our sins: past, present and future are forgiven. Ephesians 1:7. Many Christians thinks God is going to punish them for sins that was already punished on Christ. This is contrary to the richness of God's Grace as it will mean double punishment or double payment for sins. Christ paid for and was punished for the sins he didn't commit so you can get the righteousness and justification you didn't deserve. This is not to mean a person can continue to abuse God's Grace to continue to make a practice of sin but to appreciate the finished works of Christ and be grateful to God he\she didn't get the punishment deserved and use that opportunity to learn and live better for God.

6. Adoption: We are adopted in God's family and become God's children. We were once strangers but in Christ, we become God's children. Ephesians 1:5, 2:12-13.

7. Raised with Christ: Ephesians 2:6 says we are raised with Christ to sit in heavenly places. You talked about going to heaven, you're already there in Christ.

8. We walk in the Love not fear of our Father. Ephesians 3:12. We approach our Father in boldness and confidence, no more in fear of punishment or of our wrong doings. God has not given us the spirit of fear.

9. Complete in Christ. Col. 2:10. Many are looking for addition from various sources. Some bath in rivers and 4 junctions just to add one or two things to themselves in life. We have to come to God by faith, knowing we are complete in Christ. As a new creation, all things that pertains to life and godliness are created with your new man.

10. Members of Christ's body - The Church. Ephesians 5:29-30.

This is the real inheritance of every Christian. This is why we are different from the rest of the world.Our blessings are not ordinary materials things .The real blessing are the spiritual blessings in Christ.

Indeed we are blessed beyond reproach. Our justification was done and finished at Calvary.

I knew I would have been on a better spiritual pedestal had these truths were thoroughly dealt with when I was a new convert.

It took me more than a decade to grasp the majestic and liberating truths of righteousness, justification and sanctification.

no sir we are christians bc of Abraham's faith, the death of Jesus alone is not enough, we must appropriate Abraham's faith if we must av salvation. Infact we became christians bc Abraham was preach to us and we believed. We pass tro Abraham to God afterall Jesus na son of David son of Abraham.
