oh really? it took a court judgement with industrial action from Judicial staff workers threatening to go on strike for this independence of the Judiciary to materialize , you can imagine the chief judge of a state having to always go cap in hand to lobby for FUNDS from state Governors before getting stipends for its functions. it was unhealthy for the judiciary and dispensation of justice
But the industrial and court action precipitate judgement didn't just start yesterday.. The same way The FOI bill became law under GEJ, this is another testament that GEJ is a man of the people.
Did oBJ not flagrantly disobey a Supreme Court judgement that ordered him to release Lagos state allocation? It took the coming of yaradua to make that happen.

Hallelujah! I hope this will equally affect how long it takes for justice to be served.

Because na so dem arrest Ogwuche but after all the delays and adjournments of the case, he was freed after all the evidence against him had somehow contrived to develop legs. Yet, just this morning, Boko Haram have surrounded Damaturu like the Israelites surrounded Jericho.

Justice delayed is justice denied. Now that you'll get your money "straight from source", please dispense justice straightaway. Thank you, your honors.

It is a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and there is the possibility that there may be a memorandum of misunderstanding (MoMU). In Nigeria, don't jubilate till you see the actual result

What it takes for evil to reign is for good people to keep quiet, just like you are suggesting.

They've just got the balls.....Prosecute all the prosecutables....do your work without fear or favour...
Express this new development by sentencing that IGP who defies court order by going against a verdict that says "Statosquo should remain" and refused to acknowledged Hon. Tambuwal as the Speaker of the House of rep.. grin
It is the Executive that prosecutes, not the judiciary

Financial autonomy is a good step for Naija's judiciary
