Hello fellow Nairalanders, we have been merge together by Lord Lugard to become One Nigeria, but since we have been together, the love seems not to be there even before and after the civil war. Even in the face of the NYSC scheme introduce by Gowon to foster National Integration, it doesn't still have much impact in building a United country has our motto potrays. 2015 is around the corner. The masses are faced with Insecurity, epileptic power supply, poor funding of institutions of learning and many more. Let's put our Religious and Tribal differences aside, our political ideology should also be put aside and let's brainstorm on the way forward. In your own Opinion what do you think is the solution to these Nigeria's problems?

Nigeria is not ripe for democracy. With a very corrupt judiciary, every sane policy will be over-turned.

Our democracy is very expensive, the money used in servicing the lower and upper house can put our education and health sector at world class status.

We are too divided to make and sustain effective policies. Every move is tribalized, criticised without any form of objectivity. This will continue unabated under current Nigeria structure.

Our politics is do or die, our politicians are desperate. Propaganda at its peak without plans for the Nigerian masses. The objective is same across all parties. ... loot until there is nothing left.

Our economic structure is unsustainable, fuel sibsidy has to go away..... its the single biggest platform for corruption globally. Foreign exchange rates are fixed and not open to market forces and shored using limited resources. Its unsustainable.

Nigerians are decieved to believe we are a rich country. We are a poor nation. With a population of over 180million, we need to at a mminimum triple our current revenue to make a reasonable income per capita. Unfortunately, leaders past and present loot with reckless abandon like the funds are unending.

I can go on and on...... the way out is
1. Regional government
2. Regional government
3 Regional government

This will make politics unattractive. Make leaders accountable. Reduce tribalism and mediocrity. Promote efficiency and objectivity. Open up the economic markets. ....... the benefits are numerous.
