wow, just tried it with the pad I have (follow come with the console) and it blinked exactly 30 times.

I bought second hand pad for 15k when I got the console. The seller claimed it is original but I didn't even use it up to 4 months. Wish I had performed this trick back then.

Attached are pictures of the damaged page. It suddenly refused to turn on.

other ways to know original is to check any abnormalities with the diagrams/logos most especially on the ps button, Check if the screw face has a spiral engraving, check for gaps, an original shouldn't have gaps where plastics meet. Finally, a brand new original packaging doesn't come with charging cord.
