The Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State has concluded its primaries for the House of Representatives primaries though the party is yet to release the result officially. Below is the list of winners as conducted and witnessed under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission :

1. Eket Federal Constituency – Mrs. Owoidighe Ekpoattai

2. Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency – Francis Uduyok

3. Uyo Federal Constituency – Michael Enyong

4. Ikono/Ini – Engr Iboro Ekanem

5. Etinan Federal Constituency – Rt. Hon. Sam Ikon

6. Oron Federal Constituency – Nse Ekpenyong

7. Abak Federal Constituency – Emmanuel Ekon

8. Ukanafun Federal Constituency – Emmanuel Ukoette

9. Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency – Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Akpan

10. Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency – Dr. Henry Archibong
From this result two currently serving members will be returning for second term being number 7 and 8 above who incidentally are from the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial district where the the governor himself hails from and reactions from this are that it is a concerted effort by his excellency to make sure that the leadership of the akwa ibom law makers in the lower chamber are his kins men while himself will lead those in the upper chamber provided the distinguished Senator Ita Enang does not get the party ticket to represent the Akwa Ibom North East district for the second time am rumoured. This will be decided today while the Governorship primaries takes place tomorrow monday.
