I know this topic was meant to be in the EDU section. I just decided to post it in the ROMANCE section cos i need you guys attention. Mike will be 20yrs old in 3yrs, His sister will be 5yrs older in 2yrs. How old is Mike’s sister now?  Really need your contributions.  |

melotreaah:your question is ambiguous then. No definite basis for comparing. Would she be 5 years older than Mike's future 20years in 2 years time, or 5 years older than Mike's current 17years? The former makes her currently 23. The latter makes her currently 20. |

To the best of my knowledge, in as much as his sister is 5years older, whether in 2yrs or 10yrs, the age difference will always be 5, age is always in arithmetic progression. Therefore, her age is 22years. |

What I think the question should be is: Mike will be 20yrs old in 3yrs, His sister will be 5yrs older "than Mike" in 2yrs time. How old is Mike’s sister now? ...and if that's the case... Mike's sister is currently 20years of age. |

22 sir Mike will be 20yrs old in 3yrs, His sister will be 5yrs older in 2yrs. How old is Mike’s sister now Mike will be 20yrs old in 3yrs. Mike is 17 NOW .... x the sister's age now x + 2 = (17+2) + 5 x = 22, the sister's age now And.. a check 24 = 19 + 5 |
