The Fall Of ATIKU ABUBAKAR: What Morals??? by LouisVanGaal(m): 10:36am On Dec 12, 2014
The All Progressive Congress (APC) held its 3rd National Convention on the 10th of December, 2014 to determine which of the prospective candidates in the persons of General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), Atiku Abubakar, Gov. Rochas Okorocha, Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso and Sam Nda Isiaih, would be the flag-bearer of the party for the 2015 presidential election..with the procedure and outcome being the cynosure of all eyes. A lot of actions and inactions were recorded amongst the contestants, Notably two. I crave your indulgence to learn from the mistake of one of them and apply wisdom were neccessary.

(1). AVOID PRIDE, IT KILLS :
The saying goes..'Pride goes before a fall'...check historical archives, there is no great man that has fallen that isn't some how connected to pride e.g Emperor Napoleon, Mussolini, General Franco, Adolf Hitler even pharaoh in the bible, as well as king Herod. What am I saying in essence! Prior to the primaries, Atiku was the 'noise-maker' amongst all the contestants..going about bragging how tight and thorough his 'meet-the-delegate's-tour' has been and how he's going to clinch the parties ticket with ease..
He even went further stating 'I have 65-70% of the delegate's vote in his bag'. While the others were busy working like 'ants', gathering their delegates with their available resource in low key..@ the end of the day who had up to the 70% votes amongst dem, if not more undecidedundecidedundecided.
In '48 laws of power', law no 3 states...'Conceal your emotions'..Atiku went about talking about more of his plans and it was used against him by GMB to campaign for his votes during the manifesto..when he said 'the future of this country shouldn't be bought'. When you talk too much, you not only give insight to ur plans, but also u reveal much about your personality.

(2). DO YOU HAVE INTEGRITYundecided..,IF NO..THEN GET IT @ ALL COSTangry: There is dis saying my father always illustrate to us..'The integrity of a man would save him in times of trouble'...On the defining moment, Atiku crumbled cos he had NO atom of integrity to bank on! While GMB rose to occassion like a sunflower receiving rays from the sun. That was when he leaned on his integrity to produce one of the finest manifestos ever delivered by a Nigerian politician since the days of zik, Awo and etc. Everyone knows what GMB represents in terms of corruption and accountability; but Atiku has no trademark or selling point!
Also, in the 48 laws of power by Robert Greene..law 4 states..'So much depends on reputation, guard it with your life'! Its obvious that both had reputations..while Atiku is known for lies(deceiving electorates) and embezzlements of public funds ;GMB is known for simplicity and anti-corruption crusader...as illustrated in their manifestos..with GMB promising a few of d things he knows he would deliver urgently..Atiku is seen promising us 'an instant naija-dubai transformation' in just 4 years.

(3). NO MAN IS AN ISLAND: Even the Almighty God still display humility by incorporating Angels in his plans for man..how much more of we humans who think we can rise to the top by side-tracking God and our fellow man.
When GMB was lobbying/palleying Tinubu and other APC govs; people saw it as foolishness and timidity; meanwhile, Atiku tot that he was covered by 'his money'..decided to deal directly with d delegates than starting from the governors...that's lack of respect and recognition...
Meanwhile this was the same mistake he made in PDP primaries in 2011..trying to be 'a 1-man riot'..

Thanks for reading! You may add ur thought as to why u think Atiku failed, despite a promisng campaign
