I'll Sleep When I'm Dead

I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
When the golden casket represents my bed,
When my feet are numb and cold
And all my stories told.

I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
When no more worries fill this empty head,
When my lips are set forever, smiling
And all my relatives, ignorantly crying.

I'll Sleep When I'm Dead,
When all my sentiments are said,
When I lie on my lazy a.ss all day
When I worry no more of my monthly pay.

I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
But, dear brethren, don't be scared,
For then, true rest I'll gain
And forever feel no more pain.
