In palm oil fractionation section, in order to accelerate the rate of crystallization,
we usually add the seed crystal help crystal, the melting point of seed crystal is higher than raw material.there are two ways: one , according to the proportion to add directly into the raw materials tanks,mixing and then pumped into crystallizing tank to cool crystallization;
two, it is to add another crystallization in the process of crystallization crystal, it can shorten the crystallization time about the 100-300 minutes , but also can improve the yield of liquid oil.
Adding seed crystal is the key to join accounted for the proportion of all raw materials and thetypes of the seed crystal quality (mainly melting point)
Adsorption decolourization principle of palm oil refining process。
(1) adsorption on the surface of the impurities. adsorption is mainly composed of adsorbent superfine concavo-convex surface caused by the surface free energy.After a good contact between oil and adsorbent,pigment by adsorption, and eventually to reach adsorption equilibrium.When decolorizing ,temperature is high, fast adsorption, the time of achieving the adsorption equilibrium is short.
Due to the adsorption is exothermic process, temperature is too high, the adsorption amount is worse instead.
(2) the pressure filtration to decoloring .After pigment in oil and adsorbent reaching adsorption equilibrium, use pressure filter to separate the slurry.When Oil through a filter inside the adsorbent layer,adsorbent for oil is a high effective concentration, the concentration effect caused a new balance between decoloring agent and pigment.Namely in the process of pressure filtration, oil can be further decoloring.
(3) Chemical reaction. In the process of bleaching, the white surface not only has the adsorptionactivity , but also chemical reactions.Under the condition of vacuum, the oil oxidation products is decomposition, dehydration.also called false neutralization, lower the oil peroxide value obviously.
There are many oil decolorization method , the most widely used in industrial production is theadsorption decolorization method.Oil adsorption decolorizing, is to use some of pigment whichhas strong selective function materials (adsorbent) to adsorption pigments and other impurities in oil.Currently the adsorbent used in oil industry decolorizing has mainly the following two kinds.
1) activated clay .activated clay with bentonite as raw material processed into the activity of higher adsorption, the most widely used in the oil industry decolorization.Activated clay for pigment,especially the chlorophyll and other colloidal impurities adsorption ability is very strong, the original polarity is stronger for the basic original in group and adsorption ability.Grease decolorizing after using clay,can make the oil with clay taste ,it must be removed before eating.
(2) activated carbon .activated carbon is made of the charring of tree branches and leather case , then through the activation treatment.With fine porous structure, the decoloring coefficient is very high,to remove oil in red is effective. After decolorizing oil is without peculiar smell, but after using it,filtering speed slow, expensive, oil absorption rate is higher also.It Is generally ,it is not used alone, often used with activated clay.

But you are going about this wrong.

You see Nigeria is an oil palm producing country that focuses on palm kernel nut product for soap production, very few companies here actually refine it or fracture it.

Thus the reason why most people don't get what palm oil fracturing is here.

Most of our palm oil is still used as Crude palm oil and that's where it stops, cos there is a local market demand for CPO.

So far only two major companies are refining Palm oil here.
