The Amnesty International intends to bring pressure on the Government of Delta State to commute the death sentence slammed on Moses for allegedly committing a crime he said he didn't even as an under aged.

Moses Akatugba tortured, beaten and sentenced to death, yet innocent

Last year, Moses Akatugba was sentenced to death for armed robbery he didn’t commit. This means he was successfully incriminated. He was just 16 when he was arrested in 2005, and says he was beaten repeatedly by police officers with machetes and batons. What’s more, under international law, he should not have been sentenced to death, as he was a child at the time of the crime.
