Cristiano Ronaldo has clearly not forgotten Michel Platini’s
comments about who should win the Ballon d’Or this year after he
snubbed the UEFA president at the Club World Cup final
presentation on Saturday.

The European champions released a statement on their website in
November slamming Platini after the Frenchman admitted the
accolade should be given to one of Germany’s World Cup winning
squad.

‘I don’t vote for the Ballon d’Or but, in principle, [in a World
Cup year] it’s a player who has produced big performances in the
tournament who wins it so it should be a German this
year,’
Platini was quoted as telling be in Sport.

And it seems as though Ronaldo – who is hoping to retain his
Ballon d’Or crown this year – isn’t happy about Platini’s views
after he avoided shaking hands with the UEFA president following
Real’s 2-0 win over San Lorenzo in Morocco.
